Wheel Angle Rotation, Where? (FM7 PC)

Hi guys!

Sorry, my english is bad

I have looked for a long time at the forum, but I can not find the solution:

Where is the configuration in Forza Motorsport 7 PC Version to adjust the “Wheel Angle Rotation”?

I see that cars, by default, do not rotate more than 200º approximately …

Thanks!

Please read through the OP of the FFB thread:

https://forums.forza.net/turn10_postst99324_FFB–is-it-fixed–UP–We-re-Getting-there–needs-a-little-more-oven.aspx

Thanks, but before I read that thread for more than 30 minutes and I did not find anything clear, it is true that my English is not very good (and the translator does not help too).

I read reviews on the FFB, better, worse etc … but I do not see any place where I say that there is an option for the “Wheel Angle Rotation” for my Logitech G920.

Thanks again…

PD: Tomorrow I will test the steering mode in “Normal” (not in simulation)

EDIT: I can understand, they are working to solve this, is it?

Everything you need to know from the threads 47 pages is condensed into the OP.

Edit: Was wrong.

Actually, I was testing that in game just now; it does not change the DOR at all. It is what it says, a sensitivity adjustment. By default it is at 100%, least by default for my T300 on the PC. All you can do is lower the sensitivity, which makes the steering less sensitive. Try it out yourself Dust, I think Blue and Aaron got their wires crossed on that one.

Just to note, in the demo on the xbox one their was both DOR adjustment and Steering Sensitivity. On the PC their is just Steering Sensitivity. I played both versions of the demo.

If you want to change the DOR, you will need to do so in the logitech gaming software for the G920 on the PC.

Also disregard the in car steering wheel animation, that animation does not show the extent of the steering rotation you are using. If you want to make sure your wheel is using the amount of rotation you desire, you need to press down on the D-pad to bring up the telemetry and check there.

I thought you understood me.

As you say, the rotation of the steering wheel in the game is not synchronized with that of the actual steering wheel, in my Logitech Software I have 900º, but in the game, from 200º (aprox) does not do its function, I can give 2 complete turns at the wheel, but the car of the game will respond as if it had turned 200º.

I understand, that the only chance I have, is to reduce the grades rotation in Logitech software to 200º (aprox, I do not know what the exact grades are).

I’m right?

What I do not understand, is that in the version of Xbox One if it has a parameter of “Wheel Angle rotation” … But not in the PC version!

Sorry for my english!

Sorry, I misunderstood you.

The wheel animation on screen is locked to 90 degrees either direction. Ignore it. Pretend it doesnt exist.

EDIT: Confuse.

Thank you.

What I am saying is ignore the in car steering wheel in the cockpit view, you have your 900° of steering, it is working I assure you. The in car animation in cockpit view is a lie in regards to wheel rotation.

Ahhm, okay! now I understand ^^ sorry

I am going to try.

Thanks very much.

Lalyrn and Dust are 2 very helpful people here on the forum…great advice from them!

If that is the case then the sensitivity option is not working as its supposed to, Aaron himself said that was it’s function and I just put it into the description without testing it, sorry about that

The Rotation settings in the Thrustmaster software have no effect in game. It seems to be locked at 180 degrees no matter what you set the wheel to. The only way to affect steering is by the sensitivity and I have to set it at zero to try to match the wheel rotation. Even then it only matches to about 75 degrees in each direction then snaps to 90. If I set wheel rotation higher than 180 degrees, the T300 will keep turning but in game it stops at 90 degrees left or right. I believe this is a problem with the way it was ported to the PC. Xbox has an adjustment for rotation, but it was left out of the PC version. I will test my theory on the Xbox after I download another 95 GB…

As was said above the steering wheel animation only shows 90 degrees left or right. Put the telemetry on and youll see the proper rotation of the steering wheel.

I’m not talking about the animation. I’m talking about the actual movement of the wheels which you can watch from reverse view while turning the steering wheel.

That is also wrong. Pull up the telemetry to see the real rotation.

I tried it your way and guess what? Set my wheel to 540 degrees and after 90, the wheels locked and my T300 kept turning. Almost like what I said above. No, EXACTLY like what I said above…The telemetry is matching the steering wheel movement but the car is not. Never questioned whether the game is reading the wheel properly, it’s not translating to the car, and the settings do not adjust to allow it to. There should be a rotation setting in the PC version just like in the XB version. The rotation does not match what the wheels are doing. If you have a setting that gets a 1:1 ratio, I would love to have it.

It is translating to the car, that’s what im2fast4u was trying to tell you, that animation from either cockpit or front wheels do not match what the physics are doing.

You can test this by using an open wheel car (one that has an unrealistic amount of steering lock) like the lotus 49, you can use 900 Degrees to test with this car. Sit stationary and turn your wheel till you see the tyres stop turning and drive in a circle, then do the same thing but rotate your wheel to full lock and then compare the turning circle.

I set my wheel at 1080 and sensitive and linearity at 50. That matches up well enough for now. At lower settings the wheel would keep turning after the car locked. Now I can get the both to lock at the same time. And the physics DO match what the wheels are doing.
