Controller settings for steering sensitivity and linearity

It should definitely be a toggle because the progressive steering speed dampener is effectively analogue stick trainingwheels. It does help for very casual driving. Limiting nearly every cars maximum steering input to the limit of its turning grip at the speed its currently at. But this should be able to be turned off.

Almost every corner requires full input on the analog stick, the amount of steering angle, and the rate at which it is applied is tied to vehicle position and speed- and nothing else.

ā€œsimā€ steering should allow for too much steering input, not hand-hold the player to the point where every single turn becomes a full input affair, and the only control the player has over their line through a corner is the angle and speed on entry.

It is quite obvious that whomever programmed this portion of the game has never driven a car on track, and dang sure didn’t run it past anyone who has.

But with Assetto Corsa Evo coming, this Forza is dead for me.

I would like to have more steering settings for me feel better the car and have more pleasure driving, so i think Forza need this settings, because looks like the game are controlling the car for me, this steering control in Forza is disgusting.

Allow to change steering Filter % ( because i want put it in 0%)
Allow to change steering gamma %
Allow to change angle of rotation of the steering Wheel allow to change since 90° to 1080°, so the player can choose the animation of the steering wheel rotation to go since 90° to 1080°
Allow to change speed of the rotation of the steering wheel, so it’s going allow to move the steering wheel more faster.

Assetto Corsa have all this settings, and this is why i play it in a Xbox Controller without any difficulty, because i can make the game in my style. And this settings can make the game looks like extreme more realistic and fun. But i can see that Forza is better than Assetto, because if they put this settings in Forza, it’s going be a lot more better, because Forza have better graphics, better physics and better everything.

100% voted! They can’t afford to ignore this any longer.

Voted! These issues are really starting to irritate and makes me want to play Assetto Corsa or DR2 instead

Just like pops tonight I said why don’t you build and Oldsmobile and we’ll do some nascar type races. When we race we push the left stick forward and rock it left and right to steer and to be smooth. Well going down the straightaway the car is just seesawing back and forth on the track. If you run front downforce it’s even worse too touchy. We run a 29 inside steering deadzone and 100 outside. Slower cars is fine but the faster cars become challenging w the hand control and the way we drive. He got mad and sold the car. I even tried making his setup less touchy, with my setup he says it’s tolerable but not perfect.

Having some additional controller settings would be nice to get our controllers dialed in. Please fix this :folded_hands:

You don’t say!

I’m sure they’ll get around to it sometime after update 7,713…

New update for May. Handling changes again. They can’t get it right. It’s just so sluggish and unresponsive now. It’s rather too twitchy an uncontrollable or so sluggish and unresponsive. Just back and forth back and forth. Man I want to love this game but holy the physics just ain’t it. Nothing ever feels right. I’ll play other racing games and have full control of the cars while being responsive. Like it’s easier playing ACC than playing Forza.
