Cars at high speeds are twitchy and cars at very low speeds can barley turn and very unresponsive to correct the car. When you go side by side with someone as soon as you need to correct the car, car will go straight and slow to respond back ( very slow steering response) which just end up bumping someone on the side. Doesnt help with sticky collision physics which makes the situation worse.

Many incidents happen not so much of dirty drivers but of the handling.
The recent update to the handling so cars arent as slidy helped a lot on the physics side but still requires much more fine tuning for control.
I have to say that Gran turismo 7 is the bar to reach not in physics but in controlability, from the smoothness of the steering, responsivenes turning left and right at any speeds while still being in full control and the steadiness driving is why it provides clean and side by side racing…
