Hey guys, I’ve been noticing the past few days that the deadzone settings I have for my controller aren’t applied unless I manually apply them every time I play the game. They also seem to unapply themselves when going to the Xbox home and returning to the game. Just curious if anyone else has noticed this issue, as the only way I did was by realizing my steering felt off due to the analog stick deadzones being different.
I will check this the next time I boot the game. If it is resetting then no wonder some of my tunes have needed adjustment since the last time I used them.
Yeah after tuning several cars noticing both steering feel and braking to be super inconsistent, I decided to change my controller deadzones and the difference was drastic. Clearly was not an issue of not having them set to my preference, they were simply not applied. I confirmed with telemetry the values were that of default deadzones, and immediately what I would expect them to be when I manually applied them, but not actually changed the settings.
I have noticed my left joystick is drifting to the right and also up, only on Forza 7 not on 6 or Horizon 3. I have had 2 other controllers do it on all games. Sent one in for warranty repair replaced another… I think this one is about ready to be the same as the other 2.
Even adding more dead zone will not help. Pulling to the right down the straights. Up and right in photo mode and forget about trying to paint with it. If you look up joystick drift on xbox one controller it looks like a common problem. Even the Elite controller.
My deadzones are as I originally set them so no problems here on Xbox.
Gotcha, I’m on Xbox as well, but maybe it’s more specific to me. In the deadzone settings themselves it looks properly set, but they aren’t actually applied how I have them set.
