Connecting to online match issues!

Hey guys,

I am having a big issue trying to connect to online matches. No matter what every time I try to play online I only get as far multilayer hopper pre race lobby. Once I select where I would like to go like C, B, A or S class racing it always holds on “joining lobby please wait” then it says failed to acquire server data. I’ve restarted my Xbox countless times and even uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Am I missing something?

Have you checked to see what you “nat” state is? This can be done on the Xbox dashboard.

Ideally you want an open “nat”, but a moderate one will sometimes work. If that does not help you, then you can always try opening the ports.

I also have major problems connecting to multiplayer. For the last three days i’ve been trying to connect to the a700 ghost league and it just doesn’t work. I’ve tried quiting forza and restarting, restarting xbox, hard reset xbox, reset router. As stated in the other post, i checked the “nat” setting, it’s on “open”. I ran the “test multiplayer connection” with … everything is fine … as a result. When i try to connect i have … multiplayer not available … servers not responding … unable to connect … and so on …

All others devices in the house using internet work fine. Just in case it’s a geographical related problem, i live in quebec, canada.

My NAT is fine. Every other game I play online which is a lot connects without any issues. Maybe I’ll dive into the ports and see what’s up but the NAT type says open when I play games that display that information for me. Either way it’s annoying, i haven’t been able to play forza online for a few weeks now.

I don’t think it’s location either since I live in Redmond WA. I’m 10 minutes from the Microsoft main campus. Oh well hopefully I figure it out soon I need my online racing back.

Happening to me too in the same lobby. It started after i got the latest forza upgrade last week, and i got a forza patch tonight, but that just made it worse. I Dont think its only us. My download speed on xbox one tonight is 10.20 mbs, upload is 16.77, latency is 78 ms and nat type is open. I dont know why the download speed is so slow. I have cat 5 fibre to the house and all other network devices are reporting 43 mb download and 17 mb upload using speedtest on windows and ios devices. Test multiplayer connection says its all good.
