So I am doing up a viper and put toyo tires as a sponsor, and d/l a tune for the car but it has momo rims on it. does that make for conflicting sponsors on the car?
Not at all. Toyo Tires are a Tire company. Momo make wheels, seats, steering wheels etc, not tires.
Even if you where to download a paint with Rays Wheels written on it and Enkei Wheels in your tune, it doesn’t matter. Most Wheel companies make similar designs and we don’t have the full selection to choose from. I normally try to choose wheels that look as close to the car I’m replicating and I don’t worry about if it’s the correct brand or not
Like Curtis said, it doesn’t really bother me when It comes to wheels as there’s a lot of decals I use that don’t have wheels in the game E.g. Fifteen52 and Rotiform.
What bugs me is when people do a paint and don’t think about the logos they are putting on there. Using pirelli and falken on the same car for example.
I saw a subaru the other day with AMG logos on it… I was annoyed at the lack of knowledge
Like the others have stated, its not a big deal.
I can’t tell you how many good designs I’ve said no to with this issue being the reason.
Thanks for the input guys. I did a little research (read i googled it) and found out there was indeed no conflict, in fact they are complimentary sponsors. I did however in my search found out i did have another conflict on it. I had an O Z logo. and they also make rims, so replaced them with momo logos, problem solved.
I know it is not a real big deal in the game, but i been painting since forza 3 and I posted a car in forza 4 forums and someone pointed out conflicting sponsors on the car, since then i just don’t like to have it that way. I once seen a guy put Firestone Goodyear and Michelin logos on the same car. that kinda cemented the idea of no conflicting sponsors for me.
Anyway this is the car i was working on at the time
Again thanks guys for the input.
Phred.
I always take a sponsor conflict pointed out as constructive criticism and try to learn from it.
I see it as customer feedback, which is always a good source of information.
Hi all
I know this is reviving an old thread but I came across this whilst looking for something else and I thought I would add something that wasn’t mentioned.
Sometimes on real liveries you see conflicting sponsors. Point in case, look at most cars that take place in the Nurburgring 24 hours. All cars have their individual tyre sponsors (Pirelli, Michellin etc) but at the same time all cars in the race have the Falken logo because Falken is one of the event sponsors. This is the same for shocks as Bilstein is on the front and rear of every car in the race.
This happens in others race series too. Something to think about maybe…

Ya I was surprised to see this thread back lol. that is a good point about race sponsors, I guess part of the reason I asked is also i was in a race league in forza 4 and the league sponsors were puma and Valvoline maxlife. Part of the painting rules for that series was we were not allowed to use conflicting sponsors in that series. IE. no nike logo’s or lucas oil logo’s. However like I said that was a rule set up but Yank (the race series moderator) so I guess I just took that thought to heart afterwards for all my designs.
That’s because some series have mandatory sponsors that must be displayed on all cars. King of Europe Drift series are the same. Federal tires, ST Suspension and Motul logos must be displayed on all competitors cars. But as everyone already stated above, it doesn’t matter.
I don’t think it really matters that much to most people. I got a good chuckle out of putting a Ford emblem on the front of my “Friday the 13th” Alfa Spider. Salute to you guys who make those awesome downloadable designs though! Mine are just amateurish at best anyway, so might as well try to get a laugh.
