I know I need to upgrade my computer, but what I don’t know is what I need. Currently I have-
Core i5 3570K @3.4 GHz
16 GB DDR3 RAM
GTX 560 1GB
Hopefully my CPU is fine and I only need to update my graphics card, but I’m not sure what graphics card to get. Would a GTX 950 2 GB be sufficient or would I be better off getting something like a GTX 1060 6 GB?
Your CPU will hamper a little but not much to worry for.
If you can afford the 1060 then go for it, as a rough measure 1060 is in between the 970 and the 980. Currently you won’t be able to run FH3 or FM6:A because the GTX560 doesn’t support DX12.
i am curios if i can play fh3
specs Cpu i5 2500 @4.5
16gb ram
gtx 770
i can play apex but due to lag and shutter it is almost unplayable even at 1600x900 resolution.
as far as i know i5 2500 is not that bad, and it is overclocked to 4.5 , in every other game what i play (witcher 3) i play at ultra settings or something like that with no prob 30-40+fps at all time, but in apex and especially in rio map i get 20-25fps and lag so it is unplayable, i am thinking of buying fh3 but if i cant run i dont want to play money in advance
Microsoft said the game will be optimized for PC and will have a lot of options for a wide variety of hardware. I doubt a lot of people would need to upgrade just to play this.
I tried to maximise the load on my 1070 yesterday by racing with 15 AI opponents in the rain at Brands Hatch, using the chase view. All settings maxed, 8xMSAA, 4K, no dynamic scaling. Most of the time the frame rate was in the 70-90 range and I did see if go above 100, but once or twice when surrounded by other cars it dropped to between 45 and 55 fps. However, in cockpit or bumper cam views it never dropped below 60 fps. All I’d need to do to maintain >60 fps in chase view is drop the MSAA, and at 4K I struggle to notice the difference. It has to be one of the best optimised recent games on PC and hopefully that bodes well for FH3!
i have a GTX 970 4gb gaming edition
8gb ram
a i54460 3.20ghz
1tb hdd
triple 1080p monitors
i can run gta 5 max (not 4k) on triple screens with about 40 fps in busy city parts
and Forza apex on high 60 fps
and i can run black ops 3 on max at 60 fps on 1 screen
will i be able to run forza horizon 3 on 1 screen decent fps you think?
I’m 100% sure the Asus Vivo Book X202E won’t run FH3 at all. I mean an Intel HD Graphics 4000 is enough to run games like Minecraft. It’s not meant for gaming.
Also where are you purchasing your computer from? Amazon? And what’s your budget?
Have an Intel xeon x5670(socket 1366) @4.4ghz (6cores 12 threads).
12gb Ram @ 1771mhz and a 4gb rx480 Nitro @ 1360mhz and vram @1870x4 = 7480mhz.
Hopefully this Will be enough for 1920x1200 @60+fps.
I can Run fm6 apex at maxed Out @1200p with 15 cars on brand Hatch in rain with 2xAA @ 130fps avarage.
But Hope the Wheel support is good… If my fanatec PWTS doesnt work its a No go.
Guys how you think will my laptop be able to run FH3? The specs are following:
i5-4200M 2.5 GHz
GeForce GT 750M
16 GB DDR3 L RAM
I am able to play Apex even with medium graphical settings and framerate is about 26 when there is more than 2 cars in front of me but when no cars are around i get stable 30 FPS.
And one more question. If all goes to hell and laptop will not be able to run game what return policy is in windows store? I am curious can i get money back if i cant run the game. Not so long time ago in Steam there was not such a thing like returning money if even the game was buggy mess.
If you can run Apex on Medium you should be able to run Horizon on atleast Low. Download the demo when it comes out and if you’re satisfied with the results you’re good to go.
I’m curious as to how Horizon 3 will really run compared to Apex on PC, because Forza 6 was always designed to be a 60FPS game on Xbone and Horizon 3 will still probably be a 30FPS game. 60FPS Horizon 3 on PC would be fantastic
