This is something that will take a while but hopefully can be accomplished. First thing is that i will not be using rewind and also no pausing the game. I will also play with simulation damage so it makes it more of a challenge. Another thing is I will have the drivatar difficulty set to unbeatable. The car i will be using is the Mercedes-Benz SLR at S800 . Also I picked the car so i could get the achievement The German Connection Wish me luck.
(EDIT)
Im not proud of what I just spent 8 hours doing but I learned a lot. First of all I raced about 2 laps with the unbeatable drivatars on and they kicked the [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D] out of me instantly. Two, Pitstops give you long enough time to take a pee. Third you should not race against 15 drivatars at pro all in Lamborghini Veneno’s when your in a Mercedes-Benz SLR
It will take something like 5-7 hours
Edit: oh snap on the biggest one( +GP). well that’s gonna be at least 7 hours. Good luck, but just think that endurance racing is done with 2/3 drivers that drive in 3 or 4 hours sessions if I remember it right. I think you’re gonna get bored, but I hope you won’t.
No, it’s not. I just checked the leaderboards in the game and only the top 460 players out of 60,795 ranked have a time below seven 7:00.000, and some of those are barely below. So, seven seconds is plenty of time if you’re in the top one percent, which TC might be, but as a generalization seven minutes is faster than 99% of players can ever hope for. Of course, this is talking about the regular Nordschleife, while TC was talking about the 24-hour circuit, but the point is that very few players can run below seven seconds in S-class on the Nordschleife, so it’s inaccurate to say seven seconds is plenty of time. To make it into the top 1% on the full circuit you’d need a time of 9:10.000, which is faster than 99% of players.
I did 10 laps on the combined tracks and if I’m honest it bored the heck out of me, certainly not something I’d do again, with not real tyre wear or fuel usage or anything else happening endurance in this game is a drag, but good luck to you.
Good luck! That’s about 800 miles. That’s about the same distance as driving from my front door to New York City. Only you don’t get truck stops or bathroom breaks. (And you can drive over 80MPH!)
Yep it’s going to take a while and you know you will only get 60K XP right? I just want to make sure you don;t have ambitions of a super pay out…
I’ve done this all day long and twice for LeMans… Even did eight hours of racing and 25 minute break at LeMans on GT5 but more power to you doing green hell like that. Major props. Make sure you tell us how it went. wonder what lap count the tires fall off? Good luck to you.
Thanks man just wanted to see how long it would take but now I know that track like the back of my hand and I did not hit anything after lap 15 but by then it was too late because I had to pit 3 times because of damage. Also my car would eat the tires with AWD I was only able to get about 9 laps with my tires I did not know what would happen if I let my tires go to 100% wear. It was also bs because the AI could go 11 laps before they would pit so I would base my piting around that.
i never hit 100%. i was going for the run out of gas achievement at indy. when the tires hit 98% i slid down the banking in the corner and did not have the grip to climb back up and onto the track. i just sat there spining the tires. you lose so much grip you cant corner you are going to hit the wall and slide downhill and not have enough grip to make it up the next hill. i think wear must be distance based because once you are stuck and cant move, just sit and spin, you dont get a blow out, and you dont run out of gas. you have to pause and quit race.
tire wear and fuel usage are affected by the tire compound, the car, and the tune. race tires wear the fastest because they are the softest to get the most grip. harder tires dont have as much grip but last longer. excessive toe wears tires, tire pressure can affect it, downforce, etc…everytime you hear tire squeel its extream wear. in real life you can do 50k - 100k on the tires on the car you drive. try that on a race car and you better have the tow truck ready. i used an indy car when i wore my tires out, it was over 90 laps and i ran out of tires before fuel. when i used the atom i ran out of fuel before tires and ran out in 30 laps. there are huge differences between cars. your tires will last alot longer useing a lower grade compound but wont corner as fast. will eliminating a pit stop save more time than you’ll lose slowing more in the corners? thats the balancing act.
