complaints and grievances

  • The word ‘Ultimate’ - Means “the best or most extreme example of something” according to the cambridge dictionary ULTIMATE | English meaning - Cambridge Dictionary I have the Ultimate edition of this game, how is it possible to name it that, and release car packs i would have to pay extra for? ~100 Euro for a game is A LOT, asking me to pay more is silly.

The ARGHH! Section (WHY THE BLIIIP IS THIS NOT FIXED!)

  • Friction Assist, something is off… I am able to brake much later, and to set way better laptimes with this on, in the pouring rain, than on a dry track, on or off, how come?

  • Porsche 919 Hybrids, and the R18 e-trons, Any of the P1s, Fuel consumption is waaaaaaaaaaaaay to high. According to porsche, the 2015 model P1, averaged 13,1 laps of Le Mans between stops, over a 24 hour race, atm you need to drive VERY carefull to get 6.

  • Porsche 919 Hybrids are WAY too powerfull. (See the records section below)

  • Forza P1 Allows too wide tires, LMP1 prototypes Are using something called 31/71-18, roughly equivalent to a 335/35ZR18 road tyre.

  • Audi R18 are underpowered, imo they feel slow, and bulky, compaired to the R15,

  • When racing endurance, you have to set ‘Quickstops’ to 1 or more, for the overall stadings to show the number of stops everyone has had. this is silly, if fuel and tire wear is on.

  • Tires wear out WAAAAY to fast. Quite often you see teams on Le Mans do triple or Quadruple stints, ie pit 3-4 times, getting nothing but fuel. (For example, the winning Audi R18 at Le Mans in 2011 completed 750 kilometres – the equivalent of five stints – on the same set of tyres.)

  • Le Mans, i looooooooooove this track, in game, and irl, however, in game lap times are nowhere near irl track times, Apart from a few, hmm, lets call em exploiters.

  • Le Mans, the ‘Old Mulsane’ track is nothing more than the ‘new’ Le Mans, with no chicanes on it, ‘old’ Le Mans, was quite different, i assume you guys wanted to have the track to fit the 80’s-90’s cars in the game. if so, then then part after the Dunlop bridge needs changes among other things.

  • Le Mans, the 2nd (i think it is) kink the track does, after Mulsanne Corner, on the new Le Mans track, this has a braking zone, causing drivatars(silly word) to slam on their brakes, for no reason at all. Old Le Mans, does not have this zone, how come?

  • When you play LONG races at Le Mans, say 30+ lap races, and opponenets have to pit, on visit 2-5 to the pits, they quite often ‘get lost’ on the way from track to pit, and just idle against a tirewall halfway between the pit entrance and pit row.

  • Cars, so many cars in this game, and yet, some truly great ones are missing, me being biased towards prototype racing, im VERY MUCH missing a few, The Legendary Audi R8(not the rubbish road car, the proper one), that won Le Mans several times, or ANY of the Toyota Prototypes from the last 20 years, 1 of em even holds the lap record at Le Mans. the Peugeot Hybrid?, The Panoz “Batmobile” ect ect ect.

  • Some cars, with all upgrades on em, will hit the rev limiter quite easy, no matter how you tune the gears, ie, we can tune em to have too many hp, or gearboxes needs work.

  • 4x4s, buggies, monster trucks, ect ect, could you not have made some dirt tracks for em? i mean where is the fun in racing huuuge monster offroad vehicles at a dry silverstone track?

  • Forza Drivers Cup, i like the idea, but its kinda annoying not being able to see the tracks in a given section, most of all the ‘open’ ones, you have no idea if you need a GT3 racer, a rally car, or a prototype.

  • Forza Drivers Cup, i like the idea, but why oh why do we have to spend our life racing unmodified hatchbacks around some huuuuuuge track, at a top speed of 80 km/h, why not allow more upgrades? it would make for a way bigger challenge imo

  • Forza Drivers Cup, MONSTER OFFROAD! HORRAY! now go race at a 3km technical track with 7 million hairpins.

  • Forza Drivers Cup, ‘Open’ races, bring what you like… choose Audi R15 HDI here go race at a 3km sonoma track… hmm

  • Racing time of day, Day, Night, Rain? could we please have some sort of daylight advance during the race?

  • Tires vs weather - No raceteam would ever ever send out a racecar in monsoon like conditions, on slicks, and we are told by that narrator guy, to prepare for a wet race, how? add a bit of downforce, or? would be nice if we could pick between different types of tire, depending on the weather-

  • Enter any ‘Rivals’ race, play, win, leave again, now when you start a ‘Free Play’ race, no matter the dicipline, car, or track, you still get the lap time from the latest ‘Rivals’ race, and a popup to beat whoever. Reboot game, seems to be the only solution. (this seems to happen at random)

  • Menu music = 0, Race Music = 0, ALL ¤%&¤%# Music = 0, yet music plays ALL THE TIME(some of the time) in the menus. this is annoying.

  • When youre in a menu, and get a “side pop-up” on the right of the screen, and it says ‘Enter to close’ hitting enter will close the pop-up, and also select whatever you were standing on in the menu.

  • All cars have a scale, Speed, Braking, Handling, Acceleration, range fronm 0,0 to 10,0, now the speed one, i presume is topspeed? if not, then what? But staying with it being topspeed, its F.U.B.A.R. Take the Mclaren F1 GT, RWD(Stock) it has a rating of 8,8, and has a listed topspeed of 380,6km/h, stayning the upgrade menu, move to AWD, its speed rating drops to 7,9, yet its listed topspeed is now 388,9km/h, so its faster, yet slower? Also, somehow raising the front end to make the car look like this: / from the side, increases the top speed, for some reason.

  • Tires, Having worked in that industry since the mid 90s i have noticed that some of the sizes are wrong, example, 2CV, is listed to use 125/85x15, it uses 125/80x15, also called 125x15, VW Beetle is listed as 165/75x15, it uses 155/80x15.

  • Tires (again) Example used the 1987 #17 Porsche 962c Backwheel is listed as being 350/30x19, it cant be, a tire’s with ends in a 5, none ends in 0(unless you count some of the strange tire sizes fitted to some english Fords in the 70s) so it should be 355/30x19, or 345/30x19 mm wide/% of wide tall sidewall x inches of rim. (Forgetting for a sec, that racing tires, to my knowledge, use a totally different set of numbers, it would be called something like 31/71-18)

  • Wheels, it seems to be a technique to stay inside the performance max number, to fit HUUUUGE wheels, to add a few kg to the car, allowing you to add more power, in most cases, this trade off, seems to be an advantage, this is silly, and clearly(i hope) not what was intended with the performance number system.

The ‘OMG! People WILL kill me for this’ section.
Records…
(At The time i tested this) The in game lap record at Le Mans, stands at 3:24.xxx number 2-20 is at 3:26-3:27, Number 1 and 2, both used the same car, and setup. and IMO, both used a bug in the game, to get that time, here is why.

  1. The setup used, limits the car to 3-4 gears, not the 7 it has. There is simply NO WAY EVER that it should be, even close to, fast. The 919 Hybrid has a 2,0L V4 Turbo engine, and it seems that the devs has opted for having the hybrid system running at 100% all the time, if not the car would not be able to drag itself along. IMO this alone invalids any records set in this car, using a setup like that.
  2. ive tried the setup used, and after 50+ laps, the best i was able to do, was a 3:31, i admit, i suck, i know i do, so lots and lots of people would be faster for sure, but 7 seconds? no way.
