All builds are up on the discord and the forum
3 chances to win prizes.
Overall Classification Champion
Based on where you finish in your class you will score points, any classes with 2 or less cars will be on 1/2 points.
Handicap Classification
Each rounds fastest lap in the race for each class will be multiplied by the number of laps, your finish time will be compared to that time to see how close you are to that goal time. This means whatever class you are in you are all racing to be the most consistent and fastest and even if your out front you need to keep pushing to win. This will be calulated the day after and results shared.
Raffle
If you complete 50% of the races you will be entered to the raffle
Not including the Renault 8? Could make an interesting foil to the Mini. Their production run started in 1964 I think, even if the one in game is labeled '67.
I have been playing around with the 8.
The one in the game technically isnt officially homologated for pre 66 as its the bigger engine and gordini model but one is in testing pending further research as currently based on specs i can find it is well off pace to the mini at moment even in its group 2 1967 spec
Had a play with the 8.
I can ot make a build that feels close to real spec or that feels right for the car, it ends up with simialr power and weight as the alfa and cortina to make it competitive with the mini which just doesnt feel right in the spirit of the car. Reneault 8s shouldnt feel like a power build to stay competitive with their rival.
I think its due to the weight that you can only make a race weight upgrade which doesn’t knock much weight off.
Tougemistro has been busy getting his Mustang ready.
Hes hoping to have some rivals in the big v8 class, any takers?
With the Minis now wrapped up @Trippul_G being the champion we will be focusing more on this event.
Plenty going on on the club discord and we will host some test nights
@unfairlane64 @XXDratXX @ur86d2 @x_InF3rN0_x you guys interested?
We have a provisional list of tracks. Provisional go date being 25th
But I think we will do
Hockenheim GP - Midday Clear
Lime Rock - Midday - Overcast
Road America - Evening - Clear
Spa - Night - Thunderstorm
Suzuka - Midday - Wet
Mid Ohio - Afternoon - sunny
That’s my thinking at minute…
What are we looking at for laps? Similar to the Mini championship (however many laps are required for a ~35 min race)?
Builds and calendar confirmed and everything uodated above.

Gonna be a fun time for sure. Get your builds ready now
Should get around to some testing this week.
Torn between the Cortina, GTA, and the Mustang. Will have to see how each drives in spec.
Cortina is very forgiving (may be adjusting build as Alfa seems a little behind in pace over a lap), lets you keep pushing. The most friendly car on the grid i think.
Alfa is faster on straights but very nervous and always on the edge in the corners but great fun
Mustang is freat fun, needs some setup tuning as stock its a bit of a drift boat, but can be dialled in nicely.
Mini is captain of understeer but tremendous fun to try carry as much speed as possible in
The jags quite nice to drive, but weight is a problem for it the brakes and getting out the bends fast
Up to 10 entries on the discord and even more for our minis on monday night’s

Testing out the setups, some comments:
Should be no reason to swap gearboxes, give the shortlegged (100mph) Mini or Cortina a sportscam and they`re “fast enough”. (Mini 112mph) And by camming up we will keep the tourque down and avoid wheelspin ![]()
Race rollbars is a bit too heavy, race weight reduction too, sports should be max. (“realism”)
Streetbrakes should be max, disc-brakes was not an option in -65
About the Mini; noone (in their right mind) would try to race a hotted up 125hp on 145-tyres. Wheelspin all the way. Since 165-tyres doresn`t exist in FM but give it 175-tyres and it will be quite driveable.
About the Mustang; max hp in a the 1965 289cui windsor would be ca330.
And the Alfa; no reason to race it on 165-tyres when the raceready Lotus Cortina has 185s. Give it 195s.
Edit: Jaguar Mk2, a bit too longlegged stock 5sp, needed a sportsgearbox to keep up. (gave it 4.08 rear)
The big heavy car needs 205-tyres ans since I keep it at sports weightreduction I allow 300hp max.
Will upload test-setups later (today?)
