The sound on some of the Corvettes in the game do not sound accurate at all. The 2015 Z06 sounds very generic and not like in real life or in FH5 . The 2020 C8 Stingray doesn’t sound good either which is a surprise considering that the E-Ray sounds good and they share the same engine. The C7.R engine doesn’t sound as loud as it could and the Corvette Daytona Prototype shares the same sound with the C7.R where in real life they sound different to each other. It would be great if you could fix the sounds on these cars and make them more accurate.
They range from poor-average I agree.
I’m actually so tired and fed up with the car audio issues, graphical issues and game crashes, that I’ve just gone back to flight simulator for now. No stress, no worries. Just great gameplay, visuals and audio. The way gaming is meant to be.
I know there’s a report for all V8 engines sounding wrong (vote here), but I wanted to highlight one specific car due to personal experience.
The 2014 Chevrolet #3 Corvette Racing Corvette C7.R sounds too weak, the sound is lacking all of the power.
When I was at the 24h du Mans in 2018 and these cars were driving there, I could tell the Vettes apart from all of the other cars without even looking. When they passed by you, you could feel your body and the ground shaking, as if an earthquake was going past you. It sounded like the car had enough torque to tear apart continents, every explosion in the engine had the power of a volcano erupting.
But when I drive this car in FM it sounds just so powerless, as if it’s only getting 10% of it’s torque. I would say like a vacuumcleaner, but honeslty mine sounds more powerfull than this.
And this is coming from someone that’s not American, nor has a preference for V8 engines.
Please do this car justice and give it the sound that will make the bald eagles cry of joy!
I strongly agree, in FM7 this was my Go-To car that I have more time in this car than any other in FM7 and it sounded good granted not as badass as in real life. I want to buy it in the current game but the sound itself is what is dissuading me from buying it. Since I have both of the Whelen Caddy prototypes DPi and GTP alongside the C8.R, I wanted to have the C7.R since it was my favorite in the last game but I really dislike the sound of how it is now. The engine sound itself doesn’t sound like the rumbling V8 like the real car instead it sounds like a quietly weak diesel V6 with a very high whining gearbox that no matter the camera pov that is all that you hear, The Gearbox. It really is a shame that it sounds like that and I too would like to have the engine sounds updated to a more rumbling V8 like the real life car, a good example of the engine sound of how the C7.R should be in the game is something similar or perhaps even more bellowing than the Mercedes AMG GT3 that was added back in November, that car is a good example as to how the C7.R should somewhat sound in the current game or perhaps even better, a Thunderous V8 and we should only hear a slight bit of the Gearbox whining sound only while inside the C7.R.
Still an issue
Great observations, all spot on.
I hope they improve all of them. The Corvettes in the game are not impressive sounding.
The sound for this card is as the title suggests. It’s weak and inaccurate.
I can’t believe how neutered it sounds.
