The sound of the 09 Corvette is dreadfully poor.
As a comparison please see below the sound from FM23 and then from FH5, which sounds far more superior.

You can clearly notice the rawness throughout the rev range, the whine of the supercharger and interior effect.
Yeah, no, that FH5 sound is infinitely worse. Way too high pitched, sounds like it was pitched up from some mid RPMs, lacks any kind of depth; the only decent thing there is the supercharger whine, which isn’t even loud in 3rd person view. While the FM one is way too quiet, I’d rather them work off that instead of replacing it with the FH5 sound.
The FH5 version sounds much closer to the real world counterpart, see below. The FM version sounds too artificial and generic.
Either way the sound needs improving.

The sound is just okay on this car and sounds a bit generic to be honest. FM 5 e.g. has an excellent sample for this car, so does FM 6.
Please give it it’s own unique exhaust characteristics. Engine and supercharger sound fine.
Definitely need a sound update for this American muscle legend.
That sound they’re currently using fits more on the C6 Z06, but not the C6 ZR1. It really hurts driving it,
most of the Corvette’s in this game aside from the C6 ZR1 have that generic V8 sound, its frustrating
Hoping to see this updated soon. FM5 has an insane sound for the modern ZR1.
Disappointed to see this hasn’t been “logged” yet. I understand that they have their hands full, but I hope to see this ultimately added to “bug logged”.
The FM5 sample is really good, they can use that and improve it for FM23.
Thank you for bug logging this lovely car. Has been a favourite of mine since FM 4 and sounds beautiful IRL. Hoping to see that real sound replicated soon.
I’d compare it with the sound from GT7…
Wow… That’s a pretty good ZR1 sound. Also, GT 7 has some really trippy tracks!
Actually, on second thought, I’d rather they use the real sound for reference, or if it has to be a game sound, then FM 5, 6, and FH 5.
GT 7 has great sounds but some of the nuances can be off. Anyway, I’ve never played it so chances are it sounds vastly better on an actual surround system when you’re playing it.
Sound seems to have been improved for this car.

Yep, just saw this recently. I a really wouldn’t use GT7’s sound as a benchmark as they are off in many ways too. Especially, in videos, most don’t come off good.
Always best to attach high quality real life videos of cockpit, exhaust, revs, acceleration, revelation, etc. and flyby sounds for the Devs to look at.
They improved this car somewhat but it still doesn’t have the signature motor, exhaust, and supercharger sound of the real ZR1.
Sounded great in FM5 and 6
FM5 really sounds the best IMO. It may be far from spot on but it could be more better at least, because it sounds too rumbly.
FM 5 has an incredible sample for this car. Eerily real. Why can’t they use that?
I liked the stock idles through the Motorsport series 3 or 5 prolly being the best. And 7 sounds like it has a stage 1 cam upgrade nice choppy idle.
