Cars - Nissan R380 II '67 - Looping engine audio (1901363)

The 1967 Nissan R380 II has a really annoying audio loop in the engine sound. This seems to happen when higher up in the RPM, no matter the speed.
As this audio is constantly looping when full throttle, it gets really annoying on circuits with long straights.

Picture for reference:

The audio is mostly noticable in both chase cameras.

I got a video that I’ll post unlisted on Youtube, then send here when I get the chance, its also very slightly audible in the interior but that’s painful volumes.

I see what you mean about the droning noise. Its most audible in fourth gear, especially right before shifting. It happens in fifth gear too, but only if you have the extra power. I haven’t tried any upgrades yet to see if it changes this effect.

I went back and rerecorded it because I had issues with my original one. I also got rid of AI completely and it turns out that you CAN hear it in the interior in both 4th and 5th gear, same goes for exterior chase cameras too.

The droning sound starts up at around 7,800 to 8K RPMs in 4th and even 5th gear if you’re holding it down. I rented the version of the car in the video to represent a car being stock.

Thank you for adding the video and doing the research!
Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

The loopy sounding audio is an issue in many cars, including the 2018 Senna I was test driving yesterday. The higher and slower the revs climb, e.g. in 5th and 6th gear (or top gear), the more clearly you hear this loopy and robotic effect, as if the engine revs are stuck in a loop or something.

It’s a fidelity and dynamic range issue. They need to clean up the audio and give it the proper dynamic range to boost fidelity and sample quality. They corrected it with the LFA and Carrera GT, they both sound very good now.

I recently picked the R380 having forgotten about the issue. Around the high speed Daytona Sports Car layout this issue was really annoying in the 20 minute race.
Still an issue!
