There are a few cars, for example the Mazda RX-8, where the interior does look exceptional, but the exterior model is clearly very old and way low-polygon and, I have to say, it looks horrendous. Like, it’s not just a bit naff, it sticks out terribly and pulls me out of the game.
When I kept hearing “built from the ground up” I legitimately thought all the cars would be rebuilt too, or at least brought up to next-gen standards of quality. There’s just too much of a gap in quality between some cars. It’s very inconsistent and I’m just not used to this level of inconsistency in a Forza Motorsport game. Perhaps they’ve always done this and I’ve just not noticed before, but it’s very stark this time.

Does this issue still persist after recent updates? Would it be possible to provide a video of this in action?
Zero changes since Motorsport 5. I provide photos, because no video is truly necessary, and creating a comparison GIF is very difficult on console. This Motorsport 4 model isn’t the most deformed thing in the world, it’s also not really accurate. Mainly the front, where the lights are a bit too big and the bumper itself has all wrong dimensions. This really defines the whole model.
The R3 model was also never offered with this style of wheels in silver, they were always anthracite.
The only photos of these or similar wheels in silver that I’ve been able to find were on non-R3 models, which also have a different bodykit and specs.
One major issue of all Xbox 360 models is the panel gaps, and while nothing beats the E92 M3 in this department, the RX-8 is also pretty inconsistent.
Finally, it does not have openable panels other than the front doors. Maybe that’s a stretch, but this is like featuring a CR-X Del Sol without its retractable roof. And is also another sign of this model being a copy paste from the Xbox 360. The only thing that was changed was the removal of pre-facelift bodykits that were available in Motorsport 4 and went missing in 5.
