Cars - General problem, headlights are on but don't produce actual light cone in front of cars

The actual light (light cone in front of car) gets turned off if it’s not needed anymore, but the headlights are still active if you look at the car itself. I seen this multiple times now already this is the case with all cars I think. And I don’t want to see this bug anymore. It’s very very immersion breaking having active headlights that don’t produce a light cone. Please fix this annoying problem already!

I didn’t realize it before, but I think this really is a general problem for all cars.

I already reported it before with a video. It seems to be the same problem for all cars.

This is by design.
All lights (cars & track lights) only affect the environment in night mode (when the game switches the whole track surface & disables RTAO). You can clearly see the switch during replays.
Any other time of the day when the lights are automatically turned one because of low contrast (overcast weather, sunset, sunrise etc) is will look like what you are seeing.

But it’s nonsense, how can this be by design? I seen the light cone go away while playing, why they not just simply turn off the headlights and rearlights of the car itself when that happens? I mean it doesn’t make any sense, having active headlights that don’t emit any light.

If that is by design it’s the most stupid design choice of all times if it comes to headlights. They have to fix this nonsense, iirc it wasn’t like that after release, this happens since a few months.

Nah there a why worst design choices in this game (hint: fake lights glows on nearly all the cars which they simply won’t get rid off even thought they have finally made the lights properly glow several months ago one year after release)

I wonder what the point of reporting bugs is, if they just ignore problems like this. It’s very very very immersion breaking, this is stuff that should never happen in a racing game.
