Cars - 2023 Meyers Manx 2.0 EV - Does not feature any way to tune the gear ratio - 3914984

The new Meyers Manx EV has a single gear transmission but you’re unable to adjust the ratio of it or the Final Drive.

When attempting to tune it you just get the generic “Unlocked by Installing Sport or Race Transmission Upgrades” message but the Car has no Transmission Upgrades available.

So basically you’re stuck with a low top speed meaning this car is borderline useless except on short handling tracks.

Ideal solution would be to just give it unlocked gear tuning like 99% of the other EVs in the game have already.

Tuning Menu for Gearing

Upgrade Menu with No Transmission Upgrades

So…Ive just unlocked the Meyers Manx 2.0. Fun little buggy, however, doesn’t seem you can to tune the gearing, not even if you swap motors, so whats the point of having those options? That pertty much renders the car useless for racing from the get go.

While you’re at it, add the AWD swap. This car is for dirt. No one is going to use this car on dirt without AWD. The way this game is set-up, there’s no point using RWD for dirt or CC.

absolute waste of a seasonal prize car and garage space. even worse then barbie Corvette, which at least didn’t require any gameplay, was a free gift.

they tricked us with the monthly rivals, it just barely handles fine stock, but if you make any adjustments it goes out the window. we don’t want rwd dirt, we barely even want rwd road

I thought the Barbie Corvette was bad what came to upgrading and tuning. This Manx is unpolishable t*rd as of now.

The Manx is one of my all time favorite cars. Hearing there was a new version coming to Horizon sure had me hyped but this lovely little car was done dirty.

No gear tuning.
No drivetrain swaps.
No drift suspension.
Barely any visual customization.
No aero options.

It was an absolute struggle to max it out in B class since with its permanently limited top speed that’s all it will ever stand a fighting chance in. Honestly, I have to wonder why they bothered adding this car in with how crippled it is? Even a Manx enthusiast is having trouble caring about it.

Yea I’m just really disappointed in it

I was looking forward just to having a small EV I can just chunk around off-road but you can’t even do that.

I really hope they atleast fix the gearing issue and don’t just banish this to the “Won’t Fix” page.

What is up with the Meyers Manx 2.0 being an EV and then you can’t do the transmission tuning! Dude you guys are making this game trash oh but thank god you added “the most requested car” really?! A Nissan Tsuru lol really by a show of hands I honestly want to know who wants that car. Btw the new Forza Motorsport is trash.

What on earth falls under “prejudice” in the original post?

A relatively easy solution to this problem would be to just offer an upgrade that would unlock manual transmission adjustment options, a similar fix could also work for this issue

This is now identified as a Known Issue to be addressed in a future release. Usually, deploying changes that affect PI create is a risk for creating other issues, but in this case the team plans to adopt a relatively safe solution.
