Car tunes different when solo vs online adventure? What kinda sick logic is this?

Same car, same tune, same race, same season, same weather.

Self-tuned S1-900 AWD swapped 2008 M3

Cotswold (sp?) Supersprint spring early afternoon with heavy rain

Online adventure - slides all over the place like the tune isn’t applied. - 2 mins 26 seconds. Car just ran like garbage. Slid all over. Shifting was slow.

Solo - No sliding unless I want it to. Grips corners with ease. Absolutely destroys unbeatable drivatars. - just under 2 mins.

Anyone got any insight into this? Is it a known issue? I ran both collisions on and off adventures and my car acted totally different than it does solo.

I’m not sure if this applies to online team adventure and FFA, but it does happen in team games. There’s a 10% drop in overall performance in open world / solo vs online event. Hence, most of the tuning requires more fine tuning to get it to where you want.

No insight here but it’s a evergreen. I would like to know how it is. When I started the game I had few cars I knew and when I played online (normal races with friends), it slid more. Currently I change cars much more so I don’t know any car too much and just drive.

Do you have multiple copies of the car, could it have been a different copy being used in the online adventure?

I do not. This isn’t the case. Same car, same race, same season, same weather.

Leave the share code (and/or full profile) for you tune.

If the difference can be this apparent, I believe it can be easily reproduced by other players.

Also note:

“Steering” in the Difficulty settings: “Simulation” vs. “Normal”, which may play a role.

Well that’s like giving away my secret weapons, but I’ll think about it. Why not just test your own tunes in the 2 environments?

Most people do that often and don’t experience the problem you described.

Well, I did experience this. Not recently however.

teksenic - does it always happen or only if you go from freeroam to online in the same car?

I only recently noticed it as I’ve only recently been getting into tuning my own cars more (with help from an app - Tune It Yourself). It was consistent enough for me to think that it always happens.
