I have just got my son an Xbox one s with forza horizon 3, he wants to buy car packs and VIP passes plus he wants blizzard mountain. I don’t particularly won’t to spend all that money on a game, so which is best to buy or is there one that opens them all? He has won a car but he can’t use it, it has some icon above the car. Any help would be greatly appreciated as will my bank account thanks
The most cost efficient way would have been to buy the Ultimate Edition, which would have included both the VIP and Car Passes. The Expansion pass would need to be purchased separately and would give access to Blizzard Mountain and a second upcoming expansion.
Honestly I don’t think the VIP or car pass are worthwhile in this game. There are already so many cars in this game and you can get others with Forzathons. The best play would be to buy the base game and if he really likes it and plays it through get Blizzard Mountain because it offers the most additional content.

Honestly, I would skip BM and get the car pass. BM is built for off-road cars but 75% of the base game caters to off road cars while only 20% of the cars are optimized for off road. So there is no real shortage of off road action in the Base Horizon 3 game.
VIP is worth it just for the Double Credit on Spins alone. CarPass and BM are to taste.
It really depends if you have an attachment for any of the DLC cars or not. BM adds more terrain and more content than a car pass does in my opinion. For me there are already more cars in the game than I know what to do with or could ever realistically use whereas the BM add-on gives you more roads and more things to do. In the end it’s up to you though.

Agreed…but to sum it up for the OP:
If you/your son likes offloading, get BM skip car pass
If he likes hypercars and road racing, get VIP+car pass
But i would say at a minimum even if you get BM, get VIP as well.
Thanks guys will just go with the BM for now then or does the expansion pack do BM aswell?
He won’t really need any of them at all for at least a while. Play the base game first and if the thirst for more content arises, then look at the dlc cars - if any look particularly interesting, then decide between the car pass, buying specific car packs, or even just buying those 1-2 specific cars he wants. Blizzard Mountain is fun, but definitely not as good as the actual game.
I would also suggest that let him start with the base game and after some time, if he still feels like he is missing something, you can maybe reconsider and take another look into getting the extra content. Good thing is that you can buy car packs individually - so no need to buy them all, if he is interested in some particular car(s). With VIP pass it is easier to start earning CR (2x multiplier on wheelspins) to buy cars, but you can do perfectly fine without it. 20€ is too much to buy it just for that 2x multiplier, unless you are interested in those few cars that will come with the VIP pass. The following is just pointless: “…access to exclusive online events, community gifts, and more”. At the same time Blizzard Mountain extension costs also 20€, which is, in my opinion, worth it (maybe 15€ or 10€ would be fair price, but this is Forza and things tend to be a “little” overpriced). Some people don’t like the Blizzard Mountain, but I’m among the other people, who likes it, because it is visually very nice looking little world with good weather effects, very fun to drive around with rally cars (for example, which is, what I do there mostly) and also good for off-roading.
Me and my son both have a Xbox One S each and we both also have a copy of forza each aswell, Ive set both consoles up so he can use my gold account, Ive set my box with his name as the home account and vise versa. So whenever I download a game he seems to get it also, so my question is if I was to buy blizzard mountain or a VIP pack would we both get it or only the persons console I buy it on. I e if I buy it with my account on my console will I only get it and have to buy twice if you get my meaning??? Thanks
If you buy it on your console, you would need to buy it under his account, since it is the home account, in order for both of you to get VIP and the DLC and vice versa.
It should work the way you have described your setup
That’s how game sharing works
Everyone on my home console has access to all dlc as if they owned it themselves
You just cant use dlc offline when set up like this though
I was told by a friend in order for him to go online without have to buy an extra gold account that I had to sign me onto his Xbox and set me as the home and sign him onto my Xbox and set that as home. I download project cars the other day on my Xbox and wen I checked his the next day project cars was on his Xbox also, that’s why I was wondering if we would both get the entitlement as my friend seems to think we will and I have no idea cos Ive always been a PlayStation man, I only bought my self an Xbox aswell for forza. Thanks
Thats how it works if you set each others console as your home console
You just cant use and dlc offline this way
Only the home console can
How many xboxs can u run off your gold account as my nephew wants to use my account now aswell as Ive bought the blizzard mountain for my lad so we both have it. Question is will he get it aswell? Thanks
On the same console or different altogether
Can only have 1 home console
So only 2 max
And dlc will only work on the home console if played offline
