Car Packs Not Functioning

A few weeks ago, I purchased many Horizon 2 car packs on my xbox one from the online xbox store. These car packs are not functioning as promised. The following is in the description straight from all of the car packs I have purchased.

“Once the pack is purchased, you are granted a one-time only, free addition of each car to your Forza Horizon 2 garage, with no additional in-game credit cost.”

None of the 115 cars that I have purchased from the car packs have been added to my garage nor are they free in the autoshow. The game recognizes that I have purchased these car packs under the marketplace tab in the pause menu. I checked that I have the compatible form of the game and I have contacted Microsoft and they confirmed that I have purchased the licenses for these car packs. My credit card has been charged accordingly. I have also done other numerous things to ensure that the issue is not on my end. I have uninstalled and reinstalled all the add-ons, I have reset my xbox and live account (with live guidance from a Microsoft agent), and reset my wifi router as to refresh my network. Nothing has worked.

Microsoft told me that my next best option is to contact the developers. So here I am. I thoroughly enjoy Horizon 2 and I would be enthralled to have these car packs work as promised.
I will gladly provide any information necessary to helping my situation.

Is this the case for all 115 cars? Some of the packs don’t give the car for free the one time.

This is the case for all 115 cars. The reason I know that I purchased 115 with ($ USD) is because the game told me this is how many cars I have purchased in the marketplace. Yet none of the cars I purchased with ($ USD) are in my garage or in the autoshow for free. The game recognizes that I have purchased the car packs. It simply does not give the cars to me for free. :frowning: When I select one of the cars that I have purchased with ($ USD) in the marketplace, I get a message from the game that says “This vehicle has already been purchased”. There is no message that says, “Go find this car for free in your garage!”

Were they purchased on another Gamertag?

Yes they were. But on the same console. I did not think to check this. On other games that I have, DLC functions on any account on as long as it is on the same console which the DLC is downloaded to (Call of Duty series). Another misleading figure is that Horizon 2 says that the DLC has been purchased, even on the other account.

I will try some new ideas to see if I can solve this issue. I will check if the cars appear on the other gamertag (even though progress in the game is 0%). I will also try repurchasing the content on my gamertag (no credit card yet associated with it) with the same credit card. I’ll see if microsoft recognizes that the content has already been purchased on the console and links it with my gamertag.

The one time free car from the car packs is only available to the purchasing Gamertag, all others have access but have to use in game credits for all purchases.

I signed into Horizon 2 with the Gamertag which the DLC was purchased on and the cars are still not in the garage nor are they free in the autoshow. I’m not understanding what I am missing. If possible, I can post photos/videos of my situation to prove that this issue is actually occurring.

When I choose to purchase the Alfa Romeo 4C, I am denied because I have less than the $75,000.

The Alfa Romeo 4C is not in my garage and it is not free in the autoshow.

Thank you for taking the time to assist me with my problem. I would be very glad to find out that there is some huge mistake on my part and not a larger error with the software etc. I hope this is the case.

I have this same issue. Is there a solution?
I brought a few car packs yesterday and I can access the cars in the autoshow but they have not been delivered to my garage.

but no such luck with receiving any of the cars.

I had the same problem when I picked up the bundle of all DLC when it was on Deals with Gold. It was at least 24 hours before they showed as free in the autoshow, until then they were listed at normal price but marked as purchased - hopefully it’s working for you now?

I also had issues , I couldnt even purchase the all dlc bundle and that bundle has now been removed , I spoke with xbox chat support and they are working on issues with that pack

hopfully the fix comes soon , I just bought the game because I saw that all in one dlc pack

So I am not the only tricked for money by MS/T10 ?
I bought my big DLC bundle on my own gamertag, using my own debit card and my own live gold account. My free cars werent free after 24 hours, not after 48 hours and they still aren’t, after nearly 2 months.

Has any of you solved this issue?

I just bought the fast & furious packs on sale and didn’t get the free cars. Others on the forums are having the same problem.

Microsoft and Turn10 are happy to got your money, so there is no problem :slight_smile:

Finally I was refunded for whole the Forza Horizon 2 Complete DLC, after 2 sessions on chat and resetting the console, which didn’t help with the issue. You all should go to the Xbos Store Chat and claim for refund. Maybe loss of money will force them to fix all our issues.

Same happened to me i bought the car packs but i still have to purchase the cars with game credits, its ridiculous i have payed with my own money i should get the cars for free, my friend got the fast and furious packs and he got the cars for free

I am having the same issue. I had installed a car pack in the morning and all went fine. I purchased the Mobile 1 pack and the Porsche expansion pack and same as you folks - XBOX says it’s installed but when I try to load the vehicles to my garage it requires me to pay with credits. I have spent 2 weeks now trying to resolve this issue with XBOX support with absolutely no help. All I get from them is “I’m sorry you’re having a problem” and “I understand”. I have Forza 6 and was planning to purchase Forza 3 but, the chances of that are zero until this is fixed. I noticed that my problem started after there was an XBOX One update that same day.

Microsoft support has no clue and there appears to be no support for this game available - What gives?

UPDATE - Microsoft support is trying to help with this. They have stayed in contact with me via email. Hopefully they can come up with a solution soon.

UPDATE - After many emails saying that Microsoft would contact me at such and such a time and date, they never came through. In fact after 4 no shows from them they notified me that because they hadn’t been able to contact me that they were closing my case. So still no help from anyone at Turn 10, Microsoft or? I did notice that this weekend they were offering Forza 2 in the Microsoft store for sale again at close to full retail prices.
If anyone has any knowledge as to how this game works is it similar to World of Tanks where if you have issues you can delete and then do a clean reinstall of the game to try and clean up some issues? If you do this do you loose all your information and stats such as achievements, races, cars packs purchased, etc? In World of Tanks all your stats, achievements and purchases (Tanks, gold, stats) are stored on their server and are reinstalled after you reinstall the game.

You can only go to xbox support chat and claim for refund.

Regarding your data - all cars and achievements are stored in cloud service from Microsoft. You can try to fully reset your console (to factory default) and try to re-download ALL YOUR GAMES AND ALL YOUR SAVED DATA FROM them. However it never fixed the issue for me. So I claimed refund and they refunded me.

I am having the same issue downloaded a bunch of car packs and dlc but have been unable to get my free cars. Does anyone have a fix for this this much later?
