Well the week in review is out already and no mention of a reveal, a reveal thread or anything…disappointing
At this point, I almost feel either we’re not going to get any form of reveals, only legitimately new cars are going to be revealed, or they’re going to be a short amount of massive reveals. We’re just about 2.5 months from launch, 10 weeks. If they start next week, that’s over 70 cars per reveal.
Even though, as others have echoed, we already know something like 90%+ of this list. Add every car from FM6, every non-FM6 car from FH3, maybe subtract like 10 cars from each, and there you go.
More surprising to me is the fact that, over a month after announcement, the details for the VIP membership and the pre-order bonuses are still completely left blank.
sigh Another week, another day of no announcements…the silence is starting to kill me…
If nothing else it’s making the marketing for Project Cars 2 very easy.
But yeah, I’m not expecting any new details until next month.
It is getting silly especially with the expectation that we will preorder with no further information. If there are no more new tracks than have already been announced, that’s a firm no. Hopefully they didn’t go so far in on 4k that they neglected that much more important aspect.
It’s even sillier still if you consider that FM7 is also supposed to get people to buy the new Xbox One X. And I guess a 4K-able television, for those that don’t have it yet…
I think either something happens next week, or we have to wait all the way until Gamescom (20 August) before a single new piece of information is delivered.
Even sillier is the fact that it’s SO SLOW around here, they’ve brought “Pre-Order Forza 7 now!” back to the front of the newsreel on the home page…and still without any info of what’s actually in the various preorder bonus packs. Bit of a kick in the junk, there.
The first thing I think when I see that is “hmmm…so few are pre-ordering that they have to bring the prompt BACK to the home page, over a month after it initially arrived?” That’s problematic to me; when are they going to do something that gets them back in the news? Not to mention it makes me think that they really, truly have nothing to say about the new game. Pretty sure FM4 had car reveal posts a long time before where we’re at now with FM7.
It’s odd. They’ve pretty much just been radio silent since E3, on everything. That’s not like them. Usually they give us some info, even if it’s not just cars, like about the game itself, but they haven’t mentioned anything practically.
Ferrari F12 would be a sad loss! It has been a favourite of mine since NFS Rivals, and even The Crew just added it rather than the newer, uglier, TdF. Whatever happens, i just hope we don’t get the Horizon 3 trend of high end cars not being able to be specced to the top if their class.
It seems to me they’ll be going all out to get that 700+ car count anyway, and they have always loved having practically identical cars to reach their boasts, so I don’t feel we’ll be losing many!
I think that may be it.
NFS, Gran Turismo, Dirt, Project Cars, The Crew. All of these games have released new information.
Why is T10 going on silence?
New cars, new tracks, new features, all that information is missing.
There is no car pack of FH3, new information of FM7, demo of FM7 either.
I was expecting FM7. But as long as they keep silent, it will turn into anxiety and dissatisfaction.
Seemingly in desperation, TrueAchievements has compiled interviews from e3 Forza Motorsport 7 Trio of Interviews Released in lieu of new content.
That second one especially is interesting. “We have new driver gear, 300 outfits … we always listen to our fans”. Did ANYONE actually ask for a gear loot system for motorsport? Especially at the cost of new content as it seems that this is.
People have been asking for gear for awhile. Period correct gear, custom gear, matching gear, it’s all been asked for. Also, you do know it’s possible to add something AND new content right? Do you have any proof that they chose the new gear over other new content? I’d love to see your sources.
By fans they mean Dan’s beard.
No information about the game makes me think that there’s nothing new aside from what’s already been said. I may be waiting for a good discount on this one.
It’s only been like what? A month or two? Calm down dude. They’re not gonna release all the information right away. They’re gonna do exactly what every other game series does. Release bits and bits until release. Go ahead and wait till the discount, have fun waiting.
No info does not mean anything at all. They did tell us 4 tracks already. Suzuka Circuit is one of my favorite tracks of all time and so is the fictional Maple Valley, great fun. They just are not ready yet to release info but they will be soon and probably it will be a long drawn out process. Patience, they will tell you when they are ready. Endlessly posting about it will not make them release info any faster. We all know the deal by now and how secretive racing game developers are. They work on their own schedule. Be glad you didn’t have to wait what 5 years for a new Gran Turismo game. What the hell went on at Polyphony for that long will forever be a mystery. Polyphony released GT 6 the same day as the PS4 was released but for the PS3, now that’s BS. Turn 10 released 5 Forza titles in the same time period, 2 of them being Motorsport titles for the Xbox one, so it could be a lot worse. We all want to know, I want to know more too especially the two Dan’s giving conflicting penalty info but as they say patience is a virtue. That’s all I really care about, you can add all the tracks and cars in the world but it’s useless if the wreckfest is allowed to continue. I love Forza but 6 was the worst lobby experience I’ve ever had out of all the Forza games and have pretty much avoided it until now for lack of much else to do at this point. When you find H3 to be 10x cleaner, we have a problem but mostly its due to 12 racers rather than this awful 24 to a hopper with no skill matching whatsoever. They always fill up too, you start out great with like 10 people and by the next race back to 24 again and the misery goes on. All you can do is attempt to get a clean lap, any clean lap doesn’t matter how bad it is so you start up front the next race and than maybe, just maybe you will get a decent race.
It must have been them adding their driver customization. It also seems to have taken Turn 10 two years to develop a similar system. Oh, and jiggly windshield wipers. The two new key features of Forza 7.
…yeah, because it’s definitely not 4K or dynamic weather right?
Though the radio silence is frustrating, turn 10 have always done this. As much as I’d like turn 10 to say, hey we’ll be revealing stuff next week, by my experience they never have. It’ll take time maybe even a month for reveals who knows! Personally I like the surprise and anticipation. It makes the reveals sweeter.
