Where is the info?

I feel T10 has been pretty quiet about the details regarding the game other than the car roster and vague numbers of content. I guess what I’m more interested in learning about are the details regarding the track selection. So there are 30+ tracks in FM7, with “dynamic” environments. It’s really bothering me because I have a feeling like FM6 these features are going to be so limited to only a handful of tracks. I at least hope regardless of all tracks having rain or night racing that in the daytime they have the dynamic skyboxes like they do in FH3, even if it doesn’t transition to night or whether. Nothing worse than a static skybox. I’m trying to convince myself to be more excited for this game but I feel like I know nothing about it even with what they have announced. The release is so close too, it really bothers me when developers do that. Any thought?

Patience young Padawan, All in good time. As always racing developers, especially Turn 10 keep stuff close to the vest. This is nothing new. Right now they are listing the cars, the tracks soon. Suzuka, Mugello and Maple Valley already confirned.

I know all that, but they keep everything withheld until the last minute so there can be no negative press on it. They need to do a breakdown and more demonstrations. Period

Nothing you can do about it. It is what it is.

To me it FEELS like they are doing “just enough” to say they did something. Nothing really ground breaking marketing related. I remember when FM3 came out… OMG… there were features being shown every single week… demos… competitions on the demo… press releases ALL the time… Q&A’s with Dan on basically every press outlet available. etc… It seemed like FM3 was a TRUE event.

Now, it’s just Gamescon, a trailer, and weekly car reveals. Which is basically reminding us that there’s not much “new”, and what we’re getting are the cars they left out from previous versions of the game. Which is cool, I’m not trying to complain that we don’t have enough cars… there are a few good cars i’m excited to see again. However, it DOES alarm me about what is really “new” about this game. Same cars, mostly the same tracks, same physics? (might be slightly adjusted)… we do have new weather, but really, what’s the big “new” thing about FM7? If someone asked me i’d really say… “I don’t know” -Edit- I guess we can dress up our character now. whoo hoo (it’s cool, but i wouldn’t buy a new forza just to dress up my character…)

My problem with all this is that I don’t feel much excitement at all for this game. There’s no REAL news on anything concrete etc. Back in FM3, they’d go over the new tire physics over and over again. Showing demonstration videos all over the place. Geeking out about the data… Showing how advanced it is.

Now it seems like what happens when a good company gets TOO CORPORATE. It’s all about the money, plain and simple. Pump out a game every ___ years and call it new, what i’d call the COD syndrome.

You nailed it with that first line. Feels like they’re relying on their brand equity at this point, and that only works for a short while (see: GT)

And if you compare things to ManteoMax’s news round-up, you can see that FM7 is lagging pretty far behind both their old games and current upcoming games from other devs in the promo department.

I would chalk all this up to FM7 being a launch title but then, it isn’t really a launch title, is it? XB1X comes pretty far down the road from FM7’s release.

It’s been like this for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately, they won’t go about doing things based on what we want.

For every Forza game, at least on the Xbox One, you won’t learn much about it until the demo arrives or perhaps they will reveal more features at Gamescon. But don’t hold your breath. Be patient, and check out the demo when it arrives!

All that’s possibly known are 4K, weather, suits, tracks, most cars and leagues. The only thing known about actual gameplay is that the campaign will be much bigger (it seems) use championships and that leagues have returned. Absolutely nothing of great detail is known. Kinda hard to say it’s the same with virtual no content released besides demo races. I have no idea what they will show. But I have a very hard time believing that there is nothing much to this game. They didn’t just sit there for 2 years or more and say you know what lets just rescan 6 into 7. Maybe my very pessimistic side has been briefly taken over by overly optimistic, I just think they are holding cards and awaiting gamescom. If that comes and goes with nothing then … ya…

Not buying the doom and gloom yet though!

I have to say my track predictions were pretty spot on a while back, which is a good and bad thing. While I am happy to see COTA and other tracks get the dynamic treatment I hope we learn more about the quantity of those tracks actually changed. I really wish their were more Japanese tracks…sigh…

My FM 7 Track List Estimations

1-Monza
2-BrandsHatch
3-Circuit De Spa
4-Circuit of the Americas
5-Daytona
6-Hockenhimring
7-Lime Rock
8-Mazda Laguna Seca
9-Nurburgring
10-Sebring
11-Silverstone
12-Sonoma
13-Watkins Glen
14-Mount Panorama
15-Indianapolis
16-Circuit de Catalunya
17-Road Atlanta
18-Road America
19-Yas Marina
20-Virgina International Raceway
21-Suzuka
22-Mugello
23-Dubai
24-Maple Valley
25-Le Mans
26-International Miami Speedway
27-Twin Ring Motegi
28-Test Track
29-Tsukuba Circuit
30-Prauge

Just FM6’s list but with a few returns of some legendary tracks from FM4 (THANK YOU TURN 10), 2 tracks that were locked behind dlc and now are free, and the usual 1 new fictional track per game.

I hope this dynamic weather stuff will make them as interesting as they say it will. I find myself racing the same tracks over and over with the same conditions and outcomes, I hope I do not find myself doing this again too soon after FM7’s release.

Regardless, I can’t wait to race some of my old favorites again and see how this new dubai track will be.

I think he may have been utilising sarcasm.

They said “latest news”.
But we are watching it a few months ago.

Conclusion drawn from this is one.
There will be Delorean in FM7.
Otherwise I can’t explain this strange disaster.
