car and track reveal

They released the car list for 6 on August 27. Tracks were revealed on August 22.

So, they are probably going to release/announce them at Gamescon.

Never mind Kdog already posted this info

I’d imagine that we’ll see the reveal of cars and tracks in Forza 7 at the same time as FM6 last year. Even though we have more cars and more tracks to reveal FM7 is releasing a week or two later than FM6 so there’s sround the same time for reveals imo. I’d love to know how long the car reveal lasted for FM6 as I’d imagine it’ll be the same for FM7.

I’m assuming there won’t be a ton of surprises with the launch cars. The base game will likely include all cars from FM6 and FH3 plus all DLC cars for those games, Porsche, and NASCAR. Without doing any math you’re probably over 600 with just those. DLC cars for FM7 should be new to the series or at least the Xbox One generation cars. We can hope… Bought the Ultimate edition thanks to that great Amazon offer. I’ve never had a car pass except for 75% off long after release so it’s going to be interesting for me as they’re released. I will at least try all of them regardless of what they are.

I wouldn’t mind if some cars from previous Forza games return, especially old race cars from FM3 and FM4. Cars that come to mind are the Sauber-Mercedes C9, Maserati MC12 GT1 and obviously a few more. I’d also expect to see a few new supercars and Hypercars.and stuff like that. Without trying to make this thread a wishlist I’ll move on

I agree with your point that there will be around 100 or so cars to add in FM7 if you include FH3 and past DLC in the base game of FM7 but I feel people are forgetting that we already had the full grid of indycars and formula E cars so I think there’s more room then some people thing at least.

We’ve got about 620 Cars in FM6 and 97 new Cars that came with FH3, so we can expect propably around 5-15 all new cars at launch

Exactly my point, although I hope the number is greater than this as they’ve had plenty of development time and manufacturer’s usually like to promote new models in the new release. So we should see some 2016/2017 or even 2018 models that are new to the series.

Yep so look for some 2014-2016 models to be replaced if they weren’t iconic and a newer model year is available. Maybe one of the newer camaros, vettes, audis, Honda’s gets the axe for the latest/greatest.

When Forza Garage is released I will say, “Ferrari, Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Ford, SUV, vintage, and further Ferrari …” Maybe.

I’m pretty sure we’ll lose these cars in transition:
•2010 Abarth 500 (Replaced by 695 Biposto)
•2013 Aston Martin V12 Vantage (Replaced by Vantage GT12)
•2013 Bentley Continental (Replaced by Continental Supersport)
•2014 BMW M235i (Replaced by M2)
•2014 BMW M4 (Replaced by M4 GTS)
•2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe (Replaced by CTS-V Sedan)
•2016 Camaro SS (Replaced by ZL1)
•2012 Ferrari F12 (Replaced by F12 TdF)
•1995 Ferrari F50 (Replaced by F50 GT)
•2012 Lamborghini Aventador (Replaced by Aventador SV)
•2012 Nissan GT-R BE (Replaced by 2017 GTR)
•2012 Pagani Huayra (Replaced by Huyra BC)
•2015 Porsche Cayman GTS (Replaced by Cayman GT4)
•2013 SRT Viper (Replaced by Viper ACR)
•2015 Volvo S60 Polestar (Replaced by V60)

At least 3 of the cars on this list were in the demo used at E3. (2013 Viper, 2012 Lamborghini Aventador, and 2012 Nissan GT-R BE) So at least there is some hope for most of these cars to return. Unfortunately, Im pretty sure some cars have been cut from this game like how FM6 cars were cut for FH3. (Toyota MR2 and V6 Clio among other favs) Not to mention the older gen cars being replaced by the new. I personally hate losing these cars that have already been created in xbox one gen games. Extreme example is the old ZL1 Camaro from FH2, I actually liked that car better than the Z28. Sucks they take cars like this out since every car has its fans, and they have their own driving dynamics. I personally think it would be cool to see the advancement of the generations as they compete against each other.

A few of those are Two different classifications of car models . One is a Road car and the other one is a race car. It like saying get rid of all street cars because we have the race car version.

Not this one. They are a road legal car and a track-only car, respectively.

And I’d rather see the Lamborghini Aventador S as it is the very latest.

On some of those, I wouldn’t go that far. My notes are bolded.

*The reason why I think these are unlikely is not because the logic isn’t sound (highest-spec models are how Turn 10 does things), those three replaced cars all have widebody kits in FH3. I don’t think they’d go through all the legal and possibly financial effort of contacting the kit makers, getting the kit scanned and detailed for the game, and get permission from the manufacturers to allow their cars to be represented with that kit, just to drop the cars entirely for the next game.

**I should also point out that, well, they ALL coexisted in FH3; the reason I said that for the first two and the CTS-Vs is because most of the cars in this list were either DLC or Forzathon cars for FH3. Usually when a car is replaced by a higher spec model, the higher spec model was DLC in the previous Forza title. Examples - ZL1 Camaro and Z/28 Camaro in FH2, C7 Vette + ZO6 in FH2, Mustang GT + GT350R in FM6, etc. None of the three replacement cars here (695, GT12, '16 CTS-V) were DLC or Forzathon in FH3.

Edit: Well it appears I’m very late to the party here. Now that we’ve all heckled the poster enough…

I would hope they would keep the CTS-V Coupe and SS. We need cars like the camaro that you can run in more than one class

I’d imagine the Huayra, Volvo S60 and the F50 to stay. We know the Aventador and GTR BE is staying but I’ll make one adjustment. I dont think any Ferrari is going to go or I don’t think many will as they have the largest collection in video game history in FM7. Though there are some obsolete cars such as the M235i, the Camaro SS And the Cayman GTS, to name a few that I think need to go to make way for new cars.

I have my share of thoughts on the matter, and I’ll explain my logic to all of them.
-2010 Abarth 500: I don’t think so. Believe it or not, that car has been in the past 6 games (I might be wrong about FM5…), it’s kind of a staple of the franchise at this point. Expect it to stay.
-2013 Aston Martin V12 Vantage S: Confirmed in the car list thread on the forum to return. So yeah, count it in.
-2013 Bentley Continental: From everything on this list, it’s one of those 50/50, but considering the low amount of Bentley in the game, I’d hope they keep it.
-2014 BMW M235i: I’m not 100% convinced, but yes, I feel like that could be it for the M235i now that the M2 is there.
-2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe: Somebody mentioned already what I would say about it. Different gen, different body, pretty much different everything. I don’t see it going away.
-2016 Camaro SS: If you put that one in, put the 2015 Mustang GT in your list. The 2015 Mustang GT wasn’t in FH3 and the Camaro SS was only there because the new ZL1 wasn’t there yet. However, if at some point, one of these two is revealed during the weekly garage update, I’d feel confident about both of them coming back.
-2012 Ferrari F12: They are going for the largest collection of Ferrari in gaming, I’m 100% confident that it’s still in.
•1995 Ferrari F50: Same goes for this. Even more so for this, because the F50 GT is a track car and not a road car.
•2012 Lamborghini AventadorL The regular Aventador was confirmed to return thanks to people seeing it during E3. It’s saved. Also, car has been part of the rooster ever since it came out during FM4.
•2012 Nissan GT-R BE: That’s not completely impossible. But I doubt as well. GT-R is a big name.
•2012 Pagani Huayra: So little Pagani in this game, I’d say this one is in 100%
•2015 Porsche Cayman GTS: If it hadn’t appeared in FH3, I would have said you were spot on, but it came during one of the Forzathon. Still possible to not make a comeback, but they are going big with Porsche this time, so my money is on it being in the game.
•2013 SRT Viper: Car available since FM4. I don’t think it will be going away.
•2015 Volvo S60 Polestar: Doubtful that would replace it for the V60. I don’t think it guarantees the V60 to be there though, but I’m also thinking that it will be there as well.

The ones I think that might be going (sidenote, I really wish for none of them to go tbh):
-2016 Camaro SS and the 2015 Mustang GT: As I said earlier, if one of them gets confirmed to come back, both are in. If not, both are out. I think that’s very fair to assume.
-2009 Vauxhall Corsa VXR: I won’t be shocked if the 2016 swallows it completely.
-2013 Vauxhall Astra 1.6 Top Gear: This might be more a licensing contract thing for this car because of old Top Gear. We’ll see where that goes.
-2013 Toyota GT86 and Subaru BRZ: Not going forever, but my guts think they might try to push the 2017 Toyota 86 and the new Subaru BRZ, but if they don’t do the new models, consider both of them to comeback in that case.
-2015 Audi TTS Coupe: Mark this as a prediction for FH4 and FM8 (lol), once they put the new Audi TT-RS in the launch or DLC, consider the TTS’s time counted.
-2011 BMW X5 M: Long shot prediction here. If they put the new one in here, it will be out. But man, it has been around since FM4. Again, I think it only goes if they put the 2016/2017.
-2012 Dodge Charger SRT8: Now that the Hellcat is here, I think it will be so long for the previous gen. I mean, the Challenger STR8 got booted out as soon as the Hellcat version came.
-2014 BMW M235i: I want it to stick around, but I fear the M2 will swallow it.
-201? Infinit Q60 Concept: The real car is here, I think it will take its spot.
-2013 Lexus GS350 F Sport: BIG IF, if the GS-F is there, it’s out. If it comes out at some point, the GS350’s time will be counted.
-2011 McLaren MP4-12C: Ooooh man, it wasn’t in FH3 and that was kinda big. I think it’s still there honestly, but I’m really 50/50 on it.
-201? Tesla Model S P90D: The P100D is there now. Bing bang badaboom.

I won’t mention any of the modern race cars (GT3, Indy, F1, Formula E, etc.) because those things are a licensing nightmare. Some of them are already coming back, but I think some might disappear to make ways for the current runners (more so in Indy and Formula E).
Also, I think Volkswagen is up in the air. I know it’s confirmed they will be back, but I feel like not all of them will… We’ll see, I might be a bit paranoiac about it.

PS: I think most of the FH3 DLC will show up, but I also say that all the Hot Wheels cars won’t (duh), all the offroad purpose car are out (buggies and trophy trucks) with the exception of maybe the Arial Nomad. All previous Fast ‘n’ Furious cars are up in the air (except the Terradyne maybe). And I think the Jeep Wrangler won’t show up (was in FH2, not in FM6 but transition back to FH3).

Thanks to you all for going over my list and telling me your thoughts. I dont like cars to be deleted, so im happy that there is still a high chance we’ll get to see those fan favourites in text next game. I think Duskrados is the one that has the best arguments (Im not telling the other were bad, but he did it the best). Maybe well see some cars replaced by their top-tier variant or their successor.

I’m not really heartbroken about any of those cars getting replaced, however, you would think that it would be better to keep the cars in game than to delete the assets from the game entirely. It also gives you more cars total and at comparable levels of detail.

We can argue the merits of which cars should be obsoleted all day but I wish they wouldn’t delete any cars. Even though cars might be similar in model and model year they can be totally different and have different interiors. I’ll give you an example. In Forza 4 I could drive my old Mazda 3. It had the same interior as my car and it felt like I was driving it in game. It has since become one of the Mazda 3 models removed. I can drive a car a couple years newer but the inside is different and it’s not the same to me.

Yep I feel the same way, every car has its own fans. Especially those like yourself who have actually had their real life car featured in game. Some of the most fun I ever had on Forza 4 was racing all the generations of skylines, Camaros, and mustangs. I’d put the AI in each individual car (since you could pick cars for them in an online private lobbie) and invert the field via PI. Then I’d put however long a start delay for the field and try to run down the slowest model. Doing these kinds of races truly allows you to see and appreciate the performance every generation has brought to the table. I mean it would be sweet to compare the newest Camaro SS to the first Camaro SS that came out with the restyle in the late 2000s.
