I cant get my game to update on PC for the new patch. ive tried restarting the computer, ive tried closing down the xbox app and relogging in, i even went on to my xbox and downloaded the new patch there and switched back to pc to try and get the update to start but still cant get it to go. Am i missing something here? because now that ive downloaded the new patch on my xbox, it wont let me in at all, even on the old patch on my pc

Is there a way to force the patch to update on PC without redownloading the whole game again?

+1 to this - there doesn’t seem to be any way to apply the August '18 patch to the PC version?

My xbox one keeps saying “installation stopped” and i can’t get it to download.
Googled, not sure if it’ll help because I don’t play on PC
On the Start screen, select Microsoft Store to open the Store.
Select the account menu (next to the search box), then select Settings.
Under App updates, set Update apps automatically to Yes.

yeaaa, mine was already set to Auto Update. just clicked it off and on again to try that

Im having the same issue on PC… still no update, though I saw the splash screen on the first start of the game this morning…

Same here, i saw that it had an update but it wont let me update. what is going on mods? maybe a little help here
I got it to work so hope it wil work for you guys 
go in to the Microsoft Store app and click on the three dots next to the right of the search bar and your profile picture and click Downloads and Updates then you should see a blue box where it says get updates right under the search bar and the little profile picture thing (upper right corner).
Ditto. And, auto-update is on. Current version is 1.133.8511.2 (guessing July patch).

Im re downloading the game now. time to do this the long way. im going to be pretty upset 3 hours later when it doesnt update

Mine installed on PC and just when it got to the end it said “error”. I hit refresh and it showed as installed. I started the game and the patch seems to have installed. Definitely acting weird though.
how’d you get it to install?
Been hours now of trying to relaunch the game repeatedly along with checking the MS store and Ive got nothing.
Select Start > Microsoft Store
Select More (three dots) near the search box, then select Downloads & updates.
On the Downloads and updates page, choose Get updates (top right)
Currently downloading, will let you guys know if it works.
