I know this is a late reply but I get the same problem trying to import, but if I tab past FH4 to FM7 and all the earlier titles, when I tab back to FH4 and then FH5 their liveries and vinyls are now visible.
I do have examples in each game as I’ve played them all - I realise you might not have - so that may not work for you, but if you’ve not tried it, it might be worth a try.
I still can’t import vinyls from FH5 without sticker bombing a car, so I tend to make liveries in FH5.
This is what I get whenever attempting to import liveries from FH5 into Motorsport on PC. Import does work if I load the game in xCloud, but that is a Bee Ess solution. It has been nearly a year now, I don’t think it is unreasonable to expect functionality like this to be working.

I play on the Series X but if I get this message I do the following:
i’m on pc
plus it will onlu sycn on fh4 not fh5 this has been going on for almost a year
Ayup, it’s been an issue for 337 days, or 11 months and 1 day at the time of writing. I guess we’re gonna make it a year or more, huh. Really wish they would’ve fixed it at this point, or given a stripped down Game Pass Ultimate, only containing FM23, just so PC players can import liveries and stickers, buuuuut it’s an entirely different argument whether that would’ve been worth the cost / dev time.
I jsut dont know anymore i mean im starting to think its my pc or operating system i may have to reinstall windows and i dont what to do that because ill lose everything
Nah nah, there’s no need to reinstall Windows or anything like that. It wouldn’t be logged as a bug if it only affected you.
Well i did notice something they clamed they fixed it but only the steam version but not the Microsoft store one and i just looked at the title of this is the steam version of the game they didn’t fix the Microsoft store version
Well im not home for the update but reading the forza note of update 13 sync to previous titles like fh5 is not in the note so im guesing its not fixed ?
I forgot to check this one out but seems like it’s all good? Sync is very slow, (~60% progress in 45 mins) but I’ll give an update once it hits 100%.

Indeed it is fixed! After a very slow sync, I can access FH5 files yet again (MS PC).
Here’s hoping this won’t repeat again ^^;
let’s hope now the vainly group still takes a while to load but thats ok
We are closing out this issue. The developers have noted this issue as Fixed as of Update 14 on 11.04.24
