when i click on the icon again, it says it will cancel matchmaking, i click it, then it doesn’t cancel 
What you’ll need to do is go to the online section and chose horizon solo it will disconnect the internet to stop matchmaking then when done same area chose horizon life and you’ll be back online and matchmaking will be gone.
