same problem, open NAT, xbox one in the DMZ, tests work fine. other games online work perfectly, and yet FH2 I can’t get online road trips??

I was able to join online games then the update came for the Mobil 1 pack and ever since can’t get online… It comes up wit a message saying “Installing content. You are free to continue playing while installation completes”… Then has 100% beside it…
I’ve been trying to play FH2 online since launch date and it won’t connect I haven’t played one online game my membership is good my Internet is great idk what the problem is if someone can shed some light on how I can fix this I’d really appreciate it
What happens when you try?
Do you get a message saying installing at 100% try again later.
If so:
I cannot connect to private online freeroam , it says “unable to join session. please check your network connection and try again” … I can connect to a public online freeroam session without any problems. my connection is fine and im connected directly into my modem… 50Mbps download and 10Mbps upload… I’ve tried rebooting the xbox, game, and my internet and still nothing… I just want to be able to play some games with friends only… this is very frustrating… any suggestions???
Have you tried again when it says that. Sometimes it takes me 3 tries to get a private session happening but with public I seem to get straight in.

Well, guys, I’ve tried DMZ, I’ve tried port forwarding… and nothing. Changed my NAT from Strict to Open, didn’t work. Changed it from Open back to Strict, didn’t work. I’m still getting the same error message.
I’m calling Xbox Live support tomorrow, and I am either getting this issue fixed, or I am getting refunded my $89.99. Clearly Turn 10 doesn’t care enough about this issue to even acknowledge it publicly.
Consider me unsubscribed from the Forza franchise.
If you’re having issues connecting to multiplayer please check your router settings to see if ipsec passthrough is enabled. I’ve recommended this to a few people now and it seems to help in a lot of cases.
I couldnt get online too, it said “unable to join session. please check your network connection and try again”.
I deleted my DLC, (day1 autopack and the bmw m5?) and while it downloaded, i disconnected my modem, a hard reset. Unplugging my adapter cable, waited 20 seconds and then boot it up again. I’ve been able to join online games again.
I did NOT had the problem connecting with online gaming when it says “installing content” even though it says 100%.
Hope this helps at least some people…
Great game, but I can only play private matches because if I search for a public game it says “found sessions, joining session” and then just says that indefinitely. I can’t pause to search again or do anything, all I can do is drive around. My friends say that it shows my name as being in the game that it is supposedly “joining” but I am definitely not in there. This leaves me with one option - reset the entire game and load back in. I have gone from DMZ to manually port forwarding, doing the RT+LT+Rb+Lb trick on the xbox one connection test and it says it’s wide open. I have reset my modem, done a hard reset of my console, nothing worked. I had the issue in the beta as well (though I did get into a few public games before it started) so I uninstalled the beta and that did nothing.
I haven’t touched the game for a week now.
I see a lot of people saying “crash” or “freeze” but haven’t found anyone with my issue so I thought I’d post it here and maybe in the future they can fix it. For now at least, I’m most likely going to take it back and get a game I can enjoy.

This is ridiculous. I haven’t played the game for over a week in the hope SOMETHING might’ve been done about this MASSIVE problem that loads of people are having.
Guess what? ‘Unable to join session’.
This needs addressing and sorting out as it’s ruining a brilliant game.
Also, to the guy who keeps recommending ipsec…not every router has that option.
Im having this same problem!! had loads of other problems as well but not even going to get into that now.
I agree with this dude with the guy just telling us to look at our router I am a student at uni and cant get any access to the router. Online was working fine for me the other day and now its telling me I can join online sessions!
Please Turn 10 fix this problem!!

Same problem here. “Installing content. You are free to continue playing while the installation completes. 100%” Ultimate Edition. Bought all the content but can’t access online. Still. Pretty ridiculous to have to do a complete reinstall. Can’t believe not fixed yet.
