I was able to join a club on my second try, might be worth another shot. I don’t think any brute force is going to let me join an online session though. We really need a fix for this, it’s a huge letdown not being able to play multiplayer right now.

I was able to get into some games I just started my forza and then went into my network setting and held rb rt and lb lt and then I went back to my forza. And after 3-4 tries I got in hope this works for u guys

What you mean by holding rb rt and lb? What does it do?

i will give it a shot, haven’t been able to join an online game yet, to me thats why this game is great, is for the online free roam but i haven’t been able to play and it is getting boring!!!

If u got to network setting and test mutiplayer connect after it done hold rb lb rt lt and it will show your nat and latency but it’s not a fix just a solution short term because u still have to try like 10 to 15 tries to get into a mutiplayer game

Alright, thanks man! I’ll give it a shot. I been trying from the first day. My friends are easily getting into any sessions but it doesn’t work for me for some reason and I have no problem with my connection

Dont worry man your not alone. Having the exact same issues.
If your friends are able to get on, can they invite you and get you in that way? I’ve never been able to get online and have tried countless times. However, when my friend is on and invites me, I get in straightaway. Then, once I’m in, I can invite other people too and flit between solo and online providing at least one of my buddies is still online for me to join. This has been my temporary solution so far, but obviously it is not satisfactory and I can’t wait for this to be resolved so that I can play online when I please and not be reliant on other people!
I have been having this same issue. I play many other multiplayer games on XBONE and have no problems. But I CAN NOT get FORZA HORIZON 2 multiplayer working. It always says unable to join session. I have an open nat and all my connections are good.

i think its because forza uses the drivatar system, and somehow that affects some people, no other game i know other than forza 5 has anything like the drivatar system from the cloud.

Would be nice to have an acknowledgement that this is known and being looked at. Can’t see myself willingly spending $100 on a game I can’t even play MP in.

yes its a true pain I got day one edition and since the 30th ive not been able to go on all it says is 100 done please wait on online road trip and I also can not receive rewards im getting really annoyed any suggestions to help?

So, I did some in depth searching and found something for Forza 5 that was making people have trouble connecting. I tried the thing that multiple people referenced as having fixed their multiplayer, and it worked on the first try. My IPSec was disabled in my security settings, and when I enabled it, it fixed my MP instantly. Look in your routers firewall or security settings and enable IPSec passthrough.
Good luck! Wish some sort of official support could have been here for us versus having to look at a different game for a solution.
So apparently I cant connect to Forza 5 either, strangely enough my NAT is open as well. Ill check my router later and see if I have a IPSec option.

So here is something interesting, I have dmz’d my Xbox one on my router to achieve an open Nat, I haven’t been able to play MP on the full game or demo so I decided to revert back to a strict Nat and BAM it lets me online now, so I decided to open my Nat again to see if it was a fluke and no surprise i can’t join MP again this is getting frustrating
Its letting you join with a strict NAT? This is making no sense…im still waiting on my roommate to get back from California since the router is in his name. Cant mess with it till then.
