Cannot Get Past Splash Screen (PC)

Ok So here is the issue im running into

I start the game i load up to the first menu where you would hit A to go to your options/career a small window appears in the center of my monitor with a Xbox logo and a dotted loading line it disappears and nothing happens beyond that point ive tried a ton of solutions that people have posted ive done a complete re-install and tried to load it up on a second xbox live account i made.

This issue is so stupid it boggles my mind on why its even happening.

Game Version 1.106.2356.2

PC Specs
I7 2700K
Gtx970
16 GB DDR4 Ram
3TB Hard Drive
Asus Motherboard

Can you please try disabling Game Mode in Windows and close any overclocking, hardware monitoring, streaming, recording and any nonessential apps while trying to play the game? Please let me know if this is still happening after doing those steps?

No Change with everything except for the xbox app and the game closed

Method 1 :
Check if your Xbox-services are enabled.
right click start - “RUN” - type “services.msc” … scroll down the list and all the Xbox-Services should be either on “manual” or “automatic” , it should not be on “disabled”.

Method 2:
start - settings (cogwheel icon) - apps & features - xbox - advanced options - reset

Method 3:
If that doesn’t work, you can try a reinstall of all the Xbox-apps through Windows Powershell (powershell is located somewhere in your start menu)
copy and paste this line in powershell to reinstall xbox-stuff.

Method 4:
Check if Teredo is working properly, detailed instructions in the link below.
http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-on-windows/social/troubleshoot-party-chat

I tried everything on your list and sadly none have worked.

If you type “netsh interface teredo show state” in command prompt , what does it say?

Heres a Screen shot of the screen that pops up

Yeah i know the screen, i used to have the same problem. only a clean reinstall of Windows10 worked for me unfortunately.

But i just wonder if your teredo works properly, xbox-apps needs that networking stuff with ipv6 enabled i think.

Type : client
Server Name : win10.ipv6.microsoft.com.
Client Refresh Interval : 20 seconds
Client Port : unspecified
State : qualified
Client Type : teredo host-specific relay
Network : unmanaged
NAT : restricted (port)
NAT Special Behaviour : UPNP: Yes, PortPreserving: Yes

Theres a post without my mapping

Mine is the same on the clean windows 10 install except for this line.

Client Type : teredo client
And my UPNP is on : No

Maybe your router is blocking the xbox connection, (assuming you use a modem with a router behind it?).
to test that, you could try connecting your computer directly to the modem without router in between, see if that works.

To clarify, you’re not able to get past the Xbox window now, correct? If so, are you able to successfully sign into the Xbox app on your computer?

Yeah i can sign into Xbox its only in game that it fails

Edit

I can still connect to Forza Horizon 3 and play MP in that just fine with no issues

Can you email forzafb@microsoft.com so we can collect some additional information from you?

I used to have the same problem, xbox app itself worked fine. but that little window with starting the game had issues.
If i remember correctly from my event log viewer, it had something to do with that “xboxidentityprovider” or one of those “xboxgamecallableui / xboxgameoverlay” components.

Maybe try this in powershell :

Or create a new user-account in windows10 so it refreshes the files and folders, settings etc?

Tried both of those Trackah sadly neither has owrked

Well, besides a clean windows10 reinstall. you could try to look in your event log viewer to see if it shows any application errors.
I honestly have no other solutions, its a mystery problem, usually it’s probably one tiny setting, a file or folder, a registry key that creates problems like these.
But it’s like finding a needle in a haystack.

Right click start button “Run” and type “Eventvwr.msc” (press enter) … then on the left side look at “Windows Logs” → “Application” or “System” . you should see on right side “application error” and below it Forzamotorsport7.exe in there somewhere.
If FM7 is in there, click on it and look below at the “Faulting module” or a “Exception code”.

In this case “forzamotorsport7.exe” could also be “xbox” or other exe files.

Yeah i feel like windows 10 is the worst part of trying to play this game

EDIT

Failed with 0x490 modifying AppModel Runtime status for package Microsoft.XboxIdentityProvider_11.29.23003.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe for user CSERENA-PC\BOB (current status = 0x0, desired status = 0x20).

Think this has anything to do with it but this is the only error in any way related to my problem in any way

Microsoft Apps - try to install this (and maybe Xbox beta)
Microsoft Apps

Also, are there any services on “disabled” ? (services.msc) ? mainly the “embedded service” ?

I had the EXACT same problem back then, also that identity provider thing.

I got identity already ill try the beta i guess just keep problem solving and no no services disabled

Last thing you can try in Powershell (make sure you run powershell as Administrator), right click powershell and then “run as administrator”

Step 1 : Remove xbox apps including dependencies for all users

Step 2 : Reinstall all apps for all users

Step 3 : If this doesn’t work, then something in your windows installation is corrupted. open up command prompt as Administrator and type the following

Step 4 : Troubleshooter for Windows apps
