Can we get cleaned up cheat free leader boards for rivals?

7 seconds in a mini cooper in the first street race in the carson lot just seems stupid.

alot of these times are glitched or just hacked. come on now. it can’t be hard to keep one guy to watch and monitor these times.

It will likely never happen. There were quite a few threads like this on the old forum with many complaints from other players, dating back to the first week of release. There was even a guy who had taken screenshots of all of the times and posted them on his blog. The glitch that allowed the invalid times was patched long ago, but for some reason the leaderboards were left intact. The worst example of this is a festival event called BBS Japanese Trailblazers where something like the top 1400 times are glitched. On most leaderboards where this occurs it’s usually easy to figure out where the actual legit times begin, but on some street races like River Run and Red Rock to Dam the glitched and legit times are mixed closely together causing some confusion and frustration. I suppose that if enough people contacted Turn 10 (forzafb@microsoft.com) then there’s a small chance they could still look into this. All I can say is that I’ve personally emailed them at least 3 times on this subject to no avail.

Yea i can usually tell just by the car class, ive seen an S class Supra, B class Cuda etc. set a faster time than a maxed r1 ccxr on speed cameras too, clearly not right. But like above have said T10’s main focus is in the future and would take alot of time to get rid of the glitchers

lame could not take more then an hour to go through and clean this up.

im afraid it would take forever. like omega said is the times mixed on many tracks, so they would have to actually
check everyones ghost through the whole race. and for the second part : where to draw the line? skipping checkpoints
at street races, obviously invalid times. wallriding, for me its invalid. but how about shortcuts between checkpoints, like
on desert drag. What they shouldve done is to have the exact leaderboard as fm4. leave track, rewind, crash
opponents : bam, its a death mark on ur leaderboard

What are the conditions that need to be met before a time gets wiped?

With the 1400 times on the BBS Japanese Trailblazers it was not a deliberate act by the players. It was a game glitch. If you want circumstantial evidence it is that that event has way, way, way more unrealistic times than any of the other events. My time there is one of the 1400 and I would love for it to be gone so I could set a proper time.

With the 7 second times it is where the finish of the race is just behind the start line and people turn around. To some that sounds clear cut.

The problem arises where people taking shortcuts or wrong routes deliberately, are only saving say 10 seconds. There are some events where my legit times have beaten some people who took the incorrect route. Are they any different than the 7 second times?

My point is it is difficult to pin down what are the exact conditions that need to be met before a time gets wiped.

If you say its any time that is in single digits then what about those who ran it in 11 seconds. They would need to get every “shortcut” time to make it fair and that would require watching everyone’s replay.

It is not a 1 hour job.

And this all based on an assumption that taking shortcuts warrants deletion of the times. I would love for them to be gone but it is more complicated than you think.

well there are the people how disobey racing cleanly but that is going to be something you are (and me and everyone else) are going to have to deal with.

I havent touched horizon since forza 5 but if the leaderboards did get wiped i would be back there in a heart beat. Then i would only have to worry about wall riders but hey you cant win them all.

Seems more difficult than it sounds to clean it up because that means going through every race to figure out what may or may not be the fastest time. There are over 100 events, not counting street races and monthly rival battles. But it is an issue I wish they would have focused on before moving on to another project. Another thing I wish they would’ve fixed is the Speed Zone and Speedtrap times because they are equally as impossible to beat if you wanna take on the top 10 spots.

Just saying, the FM 4 leaderboard is full of top times in modded cars… anyways a difficult and timebusting job to clean them up…
