Can I have 2 of the same car?

Was wondering if I can have a car, purchase the exact same car (minus the class difference) and sell one of that car. Wanting to know because if so I would like to be able to play the auction house for some money.

There’s no limit on how many of the same car you can have. I’m sure plenty of people try to play the AH like what you’re planning on doing.

Just be aware that unless you have legendary painter/tuner status, the max buyout you can set on most of the cars is barely more than what they cost on the autoshow. If it’s a rare car that’s not readily available, watch out for the legendary cartel buying it out at the max buyout you can put it up for, slapping a generic paintjob/tune on it, and relisting it for 20 million.

You get the legendary status by getting a lot of people to download/use/like your paints/tunes. I haven’t been able to find any exact numbers, but some older posts for Horizon 3 say 10,000+. Helps to have friends to ask to download your tunes and paints to start getting noticed.

I don’t have any in-game friends either, if you put up some paints/tunes I can download them, and I would appreciate it if you could do the same for mine. My gamertag is the same as my forum name (as I would expect would be the same case with you).

So far I’ve done a basic budget tune for the Honda NSX to allow it to reach 175 MPH for this week’s Forzathon challenge (it can’t reach that speed stock), and a basic racing stripes paint for the starter Focus RS. Nothing fancy, just hoping for a few downloads.
