Can a friend join me in a different season?

I dont know if its the early accsess thing but i can change season all the time as long as i qualify for the event. If my friend that is in Winter season want to join me, wil he be in my season? I am confused

So the “qualifying” for seasons is the “tutorial” section of the game. Once you actually get into the main forza festival the seasons will change once a week for everyone and new seasonal events will be added and removed from the game map. That being said you can play online during the beginning part of the game you just both need to be qualified for the same season. So if you both are on winter you can join either racers game. If let’s say you are in spring and your friend is in winter. Your friend cannot join your game since they have not qualified for that season yet but you can join theirs and it will take you back to winter.

Once you go through all 4 seasons! Took me about 3 hours or so

When you reach 285.000 reputation. Tutorial is (short) summer > autumn > winter > spring.
It took me around 6 hours to reach this point (I was not only focused on winning races)
When spring finish, you go to the horizon roster (which has weekly season change)
