So are seasons still this "One week in each" thing or just the campaign progression?

It all got very confusing around the launch hype & explanations from Playground Games.
Seasons were billed as “you’ll spend a week in each” like it they were Destiny 2 events/holidays or something but I get in the game on the 28th…spend a few races in summer…qualify for Autumn…do a few more races…make it to winter…have the game crash to desktop…reload…now at my house…been stuck in winter doing races miles away from the points needed for the next showcase.

What am I missing?

Are the other people in the worldspace in winter too?

Are we instanced together to keep our weather & track conditions separate from the people who haven’t qualified for winter yet?

You are still in the prologue. Once you hit level 20 youll progress to the main game where the seasons are weekly and everyone shares the same world.

As you level up, you will progress through this “intro/tutorial” part of the game and through all four seasons. After that, you will be “released” into the open world with all multiplayer features and the season we all are in during that week. Seasons will then change every Thursday.
Theres more: during the intro part, you might not be able to play certain events with friends if they are not in the same season. Players who progressed more than you can join your session but you can’t join there’s until you reached the same level or until all of you made it through the intro/tutorial segment and into the free world. That can be a bit confusing but since you’ve reached winter already, you’re almost here
