Buying Cars in Forza horizon 2 with credits

Hey I’m kind of new to Forza. Just got an Xbox One a week ago and got Forza along with it. I have about 10 cars that I got free with DLC’s (I believe that’s what they are called) and saved up to buy an M4 but when I went to buy it, it was asking for real cash. $1.99 I believe. Is this how forza games usually work? I was not aware of this when I bought the game and I may just be making a noon mistake but I would like someone to help me with this situation. By the way I have made it to the 3rd roadtrip, sisteron I believe, if that helps any. Thank you in advance for the help

So long as the vehicle you are trying to add to your in-game garage is part of the DLC pack you purchased, you will be able to pick one up from the Autoshow at the one-time cost of 0 in-game credits. Every once in a while users report an issue similar (if not the same) to the one you are describing. To begin some quick troubleshooting, verify you have the DLC you’ve acquired downloaded and installed; then, attempt a complete console power cycle (do not simply turn the Xbox One off/on). This should remedy the problem you’ve encountered and, in turn, you’ll have access to the vehicles accordingly.

The BMW M4 is part of the Falken Car Pack, and you can’t buy it unless you have the DLC, that’s why it asked you to first buy it with real money. That’s the way Forza works, if you try to buy a DLC car it will check if you have the DLC and then allow you to add it to your garage. What you saw was the result of you not owning the Falken DLC. You can either buy the car pack, the individual car or if you don’t want to spend more money, purchase a non-DLC car. DLC cars have a small arrow in the mini image when you hover over them.

Thank you very much. I learned about this today. It just so happened that every car I wanted to buy was a part of a DLC pack. I looked at the E63 AMG S and bought that instead as it wasn’t part of a pack. Thanks for clearing up the confusion. Add me on Xbox live maybe we can play sometime @SeanM335i
