I’m trying to decide whether to buy FM7 or just get the DLC (NASCAR, Porsche,etc) for FM6 that I never picked up. Since I don’t have a 4K HDR tv it looks like FM7 would just be getting me one new track vs getting the DLC and a few new cars. Honestly the DLC seems like it’d be giving me more new content for less money. Plus, as someone who likes to have as many of the cars available in my garage to race as I can I wouldn’t have to go through earning all of the millions of credits to repurchase in game the cars I’ve already bought in 6.
I do tend to favor multiplayer racing though, so I’m a bit worried that maybe everyone will have moved on from FM6 now though. Although after reading about what Turn 10 has done to the hoppers in 7 I’m not too sure I’d be that excited to race online there. Honestly, IMO, Turn 10 has been killing multiplayer since they decided to get rid of user created online custom public lobbies after FM4. Having to leave the game and set up a LFG post the coordinate all of that is nowhere near as simple, quick, or intuitive.
So from that view it looks to me like getting the FM6 DLC is the better move but not having played FM7 I’m curious to hear the opinions of those who have. Do you find that the game does enough and offers enough new stuff to make it the more worthwhile purchase?
