What do you guys think.
In terms of offline online gfx AI etc etc is it worth going back and playing 7?

Motorsport 7 didn’t have any expansions. All of it’s post-launch, non-Car Pass content came in free updates which should still be available to any new player who logs in for the first time barring Turn 10 disabling the servers.
As for the primary question…yes. The handling is better than Motorsport 2023 as cars have downforce and grip where they should, the AI is a known quantity and their aggression can be turned off, and the graphics are not nearly as much of a downgrade as you would expect (and the sun doesn’t blind you like it does in Motorsport 2023).
As im a relatively new Xbox player had the xbox 1 and 360 at release then went to pc then Ps5 then Series x last year.
So I’ve played the first 2 forzas then Left Xbox so I haven’t played a lot of recent ones. I have horizon 5 and it’s great looks fabulous but I’ve done the festival events and I’m a bit say bored of it. It’s seems just a huge checklist of things to tick off. And not many actual racing events. I’m more of a Motorsport fan.
I was intrigued with 7 that’s all.
What’s stopping you from playing both? I still play FM7,just because a new version comes out does not mean you are obligated to buy it.If you do I’d bet you will be like me and paly FM23 90% and FM7 10% of the time.
AND if you want to race single player (career) and have a series leaderboard and all that …You’re not stuck with 3 lap races in 7
Do you start at the back of the grid?
Usually, they put ya in the middle, i can’t remember if you can move yourself up and down… Last time i played (about a week ago) i didn’t bother checking, i was too happy to not have an entire series over in 30 minutes… But, I’ll check for ya.
Wasn’t placement on the grid dependent on the skill level you chose? So if you chose beginner, you started further up the pack when compared to Expert or higher. Like how FH does it.
I don’t think thats the case, i just started two separate series to check. At the start of each series, they have me starting in 4th… I have my skill level set to pro, and then i tried unbeatable, and it didn’t seem to affect my starting position. I don’t see anywhere I can change starting position either, but i didn’t do too deep a dive in settings to look.
Hmm…that’s odd, as I don’t think I ever started in 4th ever…lol.
I’ll have to do a series and see how they move me around
You’ll probably need to get a physical copy of it if you don’t already have it digitally, but I’d say it’s probably worth going back to FM7. Upgrades can simply be bought with credits, more tracks, more of a career mode, less bugs (Xbox), etc. I mean, it’s a game that’s had 2 years of support and content vs one with only 3 or 4 months.
Not to mention additional free play features, spectator mode, a wide variety of hoppers to choose from at any given time, the Nordschliefe, the voice actor for Thomas the Tank Engine reminding you to check out the special vendor… Honestly compared to FM23, 7’s a pretty solid game imo. I’ll go as far as saying it’s probably the best that the Xbox One generation of Forza has to offer, though that’s up for debate of course. But it’s not a bad idea by any stretch to have FM7.
I think cd keys works as well if you buy those. I did that fall 2022 long after sales stopped. Just enter key in store.
I would say yes to this question.I played FM7 on the one s back in 2018 but only owned the base game.So yesterday I bought the Ultimate Edition from cd keys for ÂŁ29.99 (UK),which I thought was a bit of a deal, the only pack missing is the Formula Drift pack,it wont let me download the cars so i assume its down to licensing.
I`d forgotten how well presented and complete (?),the game is,compared to FM23,so I will chop between the 2 games, while hopefully T10 sort the issues out on the latest version.
If you can live without the Formula Drift pack then I think its a bargain.
The only thing that concerns me is the AI. I imagine it’s just as bad as current ai, at least with 23 there’s a very very very slim chance they might improve it. I don’t go online in console race games as they’re unruly. So I’m strictky offline.
I understand it’s more complete but if the actual racing is similar I may as well play something else like F1 waiting for them to fix this.
The AI is about equal. Subjectively, i think 7’s AI might be slightly better, but that could just be me wanting to feel that way That said, it’s definitely not WORSE than, let’s call this FM '23
I agree with ur86d2,the AI is about the same.Ive had some crap AI tricks pulled on me in both games but at the same time also some good but hard races too.For ÂŁ30.00 I think its a good buy for me,again.
I play A class online everyday and its good…worth playing …not that piece of junk FM23!!!
I found in fm7. They don’t swap places a lot mid race. Also the guy in the lead of points is always on pole. But there’s less of the brake tapping which is good!!
Yup,more stable, more desirable cars especially in the older groups ,more tracks,ai is better, Better class or car division system, more modes to play and definitly more players.
