BUG: Racing offroad tires instead of stock tires on "Show me..." (during Winter?)

EDIT: On at least the first two challenges of Lucha de Carreras (I haven’t done the rest) the game puts my car on racing offroad tires instead of stock tires (which the car should be on) giving me an A785 car instead of an S1 808 car. The lack of grip on the offroad tires makes the first challenge (almost?) impossible and the second one a lot more difficult.

EDIT 2: After the season changed to Spring, the tires are correct again and it is relatively easy to get 3 stars again.

(I submitted a ticket)

My original post:

So I have been trying over and over to do the first chapter of Lucha de Carreras.
I know it is one of the more difficult challenges but it seems utterly impossible to me.
We can have a discussion about driver skill, but I have been nailing every freaking corner in the most ideal situations (with no cars in the ideal driving line etc), taking note of speeds though every corner etc etc.
I get 1:47.2xx on my very best attempts and they are really good.
I am sure a better driver COULD shave off the time needed, but this challenge is so much more difficult than any of the other challenges (I did all but the V10 story, which I haven’t really started yet at 3 stars).
Compared to other challenges I am outdoing myself.

At some point I wondered what time my Forza Friend managed to get and I saw this:

My friend got a faster car for the challenge… I want that too!!!
That difference in PI is definitely going to make this challenge reachable for me on my next try.

edit: Okay, I bought the Fiesta and it doesn’t seem that much faster although it does seem to corner more easily… different tires? maybe it is me.
Could it be that it is on snow tires during the winter?

It is offroad race tires.
Offroad tires bring the PI back to 785 and obviously make cornering on tarmac a lot slower.

At the start the car is clearly on offroad tires (lots of profile) while in the guides you can see road tires (Forza Horizon 5 Chapter 1 Lucha De Carreteras - YouTube is a guide, I will make a pic of my screen later)

I am now kinda proud of my 1:47.241 time

LOL, I thought this one is rather hard. It was strange, everything else I normally have on first try.

What aids do you use?

Ultimately I switched to no aids at all which gave me the fastest time. I am waiting for the other tires now though

Exactly, that should be the fastest. If you need better braking, ABS looks very good with current physics. I could check what I had but this one was pretty hard. I thought I must go different road and missed some shortcuts.

Braking is not an option  Need full speed here.
I don’t think this one has shortcuts does it? There was one corner I could arguably cut (maybe BECAUSE of the offroad tires) and going straight the last few hundred meters to the finish could maybe be a bit faster (again maybe because of the tires) but I doubted if either of them was really faster.
But I am not going to attempt anything until they fixed the tire problem. I am pretty sure I will get it in one try once I get the right car to drive with.

Exactly, but I saw some nice times elsewhere with ABS.

I think I needed 3 tries because I started story with casual mood and went normally. At the end no shortcuts and time remaining was probably under one sec. So it’s possible with normal car but very hard because you go full throttle and there is not much space for a skill.

I am not sure if you understand my problem.

The car I get in the challenge is on the wrong tires.

It is a bug!

I could easily get this challenge if it was on the right tires, but it isn’t.

The car should be on stock tires which gives it a PI of S1 808 (like my friend’s car) and gives it more grip on tarmac, which makes all the difference here.
I am pretty sure I can do it with ABS on then too

However, the car I get (maybe because of winter) is on off-road racing tires which gives it a PI of A785 and LESS GRIP, which makes the challenge impossible, or at least a lot more difficult than it was intended to be.

I tried driving the same route with a stock car and I could maintain much more speed through the corners even casually with a less than ideal driving line.

“Fixed” now after season change. Got 3 stars relatively easily

Funny enough, there IS a shortcut, pretty massive one. Tires are still a problem but it was doable this way even down in A class

Have a look: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFtaEmjVExE

Hey, that is cool. I get how that would have made it possible in A class indeed.
