T10 what are you doing? This whole GT Sport direct copy of multiplayer is so ridiculous.
All I used to play in FM7 was the multiplayer open lobbies and hoppers, and I know a lot of us did too. They are entirely missing from the game, and the current state of things if I want to play multi, I have to wait for a specific time, enter and then practice/qualify and it’s so annoying and boring. I want to jump in and just go, no waiting, choosing whatever class I want. I miss the games as well. I really hope you bring it all back, because this game is BORING

Only way is to use the xbox group feature. There’s usually 15 or so private lobbies going.
Custom public lobbies will never return, Turn 10 has shown no interest in that feature since 2012.
Class-based hoppers are also unlikely to return, as Turn 10 is intentionally keeping lobby playlist counts low in order to have a larger matchmaking pool per playlist.

They tried to copy it and they were able to miss a copy
im so tired of these MP lobbies, they know they have a very low player count so they have to keep the current system but i would enjoy if they brought back open drift lobbies. I dont want to have to join special groups and play in a private lobby to enjoy this game

They have to keep it the way it is because of usership being so low. And it just keeps getting lower. If they don’t start opening up better lines of communication between “what little player base they have left” and the studio, they’ll never get usership up to a point where more lobbies will be a viable option.

Not “Any” setps. Because thay are realistically taking “any” steps. But there are many steps they “MUST” take to bring the game back from the brink.
I never understood the stance of keep it the way it is because the player count is low. It’s not like the current hoppers are going to draw the drifters to the game. The current hoppers are not going to draw the players that want to race a specific car of their choosing whenever they hop on the game. Make the hoppers that people want and the player base will go up. Sure people may be split up into several different hoppers but at least they would be on the game. 100k people split up amongst a bunch of different hoppers is still 100k on the game but if the current state of the game is off putting to 99k of the players what’s the point.
