I just had a look at my cars and narrowed down by “upgrade presets available”. It’s changed quite a bit since, well, I don’t know. The following cars do not now have presets.
Chevrolet 1970 El Camino Super Sport 454
Chevrolet 1969 Camaro Super Sport Coupe
Chevrolet 1957 Bel Air
Dodge 1969 Charger R/T
Ford 1940 De Luxe Coupe
Ford 1932 De Luxe Five-Window Coupe
Plymouth 1971 Cuda 426 Hemi
I don’t think any bodykits have been removed, for example the Ford Coupe '32 has the two hot-rod things, just the presets have gone for the cars on that list.
It’s not a problem, particularly, but . . . well, why?

It’s not a problem?
It shows a total lack of imaginative forward thinking on the part of playground to advance the game. They are totally incapable of coming ip with new fresh stuff for the game.
But they are capable of taking things away from the game.

Why indeed… ![:unamused: :unamused:](https://emoji.discourse-cdn.com/win10/unamused.png?v=12)
Maybe to make way for presets on the new Hot Wheels crop (oh, there’s an easy potential typo begging for moderation lol) because… there’s not enough memory to keep all the old presets and the new ones ?
Not that I’ve looked, but I think I had one on the El Camino (owning similar in the day) and the '40 Coupe, and some others in that list iirc.
Just the spirit of Horizon…

Those were standard presets that didn’t add much to the game. You can easily do that yourself or via auto-upgrade.

Which isn’t the point though. But yeah.

Mind not weathered well with age.
But I seem to recall, in nfs underground 2. You could change the size and shape of spoilers and every car had a grand assortment of fender flairs, bumpers, and side skirts. As well as exhaust, lighting, and window tinting.
It would seem that if an old game on an archaic old system could handle sizing of spoilers, then a game such as FH5 should at least be able to handle a few more “static” options of trim.

yes, I have to say I wasn’t sure why 4 had so many of these drag things and why they all appeared again
that’s why it’s not very important in my book however it’s a curious, unnanounced change that achieves . . . nothing - so why bother?
it also then ticks the box of “what else has changed that we haven’t been told?”

That was Need for Speed: Carbon. It featured Autosculpt where you could design your own wheels and parts. Very cool feature indeed!

And we three wonkie ugly hoods. Well, the supercharger hood isn’t too bad. But there are soooo many types of hood scoops out there. And these haven’t changed since FH2 at least.

Agreed. I’ve long wanted louvred hoods for some. I end up faking it with vinyls sometimes. Works for me, usually, heh.

hm . . . that was weird, they’re back now
Is the Toyota Supra MkIII untouched? IIRC the car has a factory widebody kit that can only be applied with an upgrade preset. I didn’t even know it existed for the longest time because of that (and Horizon’s terrible, unintuitive UI)
If the upgrade preset is removed the widebody would go with it
no, you’re okay, I went through all cars with presets and the Supra RZ still has three (well, as of yesterday before the update)
