Yeah, it’s also not subject to the 1 car per player restriction. Not sure if it’s going to be there the full week or swap out every 3 hours like the other slot.
Woke up this morning to go to work, but the first thing I did at 5:40 AM was getting myself the Ford GT.
Last night I bought the Maserati. Maserati is a nice drive. Didn’t have time to test the Ford.
Is it any good?
Just finding out about all this now. I remember them saying something vague about needing forzathon points a while back… I have over 13,000 but the only car I don’t have from this list is the camaro PO.
The time release window isn’t ideal for me personally. It would be better if they rotated the cars out more frequently so they could be available at different times during the day. That being said, I’m not going to lose any sleep over it. If it’s in the shop when I’m playing through this weeks playlist I’ll grab it, otherwise I’ll do without.
TLDR terrible design allowing cars to be available for only 3 hours. Would’ve made sense for something like 9-12 hours so that most times zones would have access to the purchase, along with people that work or have school.
My review of the Black Friday so far… Doesn’t make any sense. Adults are working, children are at school. Lots missed the cars, surely enough.
And, make no mistake, even if Microsoft’s xCloud was live for everyone, lots of people would STILL miss these cars. We can’t exactly play games during work/class.
The icing on the cake is forcing everyone on East Coast and much of South America to set up alarm clocks on Saturday morning to get the PO Camaro… Just not the brightest move.
When ForzaRC partnered with that streaming company last year they had two streaming timezones to give the cars in and still left Australians out because the times were heavily Euro and US-biased. It puzzles me how, given these examples, the people in charge of FH4 make the same mistakes.
I’d be fine with it being either the Levante or the Ghibli.
The people who take care of the weekly events need to pay more attention to the game’s content… I remember there was a week with the Camaro ZL1 in the Shop for 500 FP. Thing is, this car can be purchased from the Autoshow for very cheap. The Camaro stayed in the Shop for the remainder of the week, instead of an actual exclusive car. Now there’s this situation with the Fiat Dino, and next Spring the XJ220 Forzathon will repeat itself, along with the two Dirt races requirement (only the flavor text was fixed).
Sometimes I question myself if this is in fact a first-party title, given these blunders. Eh, the game has a 92/100 score on Metacritic, it’s not like anyone is gonna care.
So far in this thread, no one defending PG has actually answered a very simple question: how is the current implementation better than the obvious solution of simply making all the cars available during the entire promotion?
Exactly. Why not make all the cars available for 2 days?
This whole games as a service model with its timed exclusive content [insert a word of your choice] is one of the most annoying things in gaming today.
