Looks good, will definitely pick up the Apollo and GT40 if I can get on.
Hopefully the new business throws up a few different challenges and has a decent reward for 3 starring everything, the only way is up from Upgrade Heroes anyway.
Great to see the Camaro ZL1 PO up there. I have all of the PO cars (available) and the Camaro is by far the best. I’m sooo not a Chevy guy, but it’s been one of my daily’s since I picked it up on the AH.
More upgrade options than the regular ZL1 (racing V12 is sweet) and really quick and grippy with the right tune on it. Yes - I’ll shill for mine…it’s an X class free roam bomber with plenty of DF and big, fat, sticky rally rubber.
Love the Porsche PO - I have two: one street and one rally / free roam. Even with tight tunes, I find them a bit squirrelly. Don’t know why - can’t really quantify exactly why I like the ZL1 so much. Like I said - not a Chevy guy at all, but I find it immensely fun to free roam and forzathon in. Looks beefy in a black fade with the hood scoop too. A modern Pursuit Special.
Well, I’m not a Porsche guy either, but the PO outshines all the other Preorder cars to me. The Camaro seems to be a tad slow, I’ve lost some offline championships with it as far as I can remember and never used it since then. On the other hand I’ve dominated one of the festival trial events with the Porsche PO and I was able to dift with it even when I wasn bad at drifting back in time.
All the rear engined porsches are a bit squirrely in Horizon, I think the physics engine exaggerates the rear engine handling and doesn’t correctly model all clever engineering weight balance mitigations porsche has put into their vehicles.
Have you tried recreating your ride with the non-PO camaro? How did it compare?
Funny but I have had the same feeling but that comes from comparisons to other games. I don’t know, '73 911 RS doesn’t feel that bad, '82 911 Turbo is IMO okay too. There are odd cases, street 959 had tyre issue but PG might have done silent update to that. '98 911 GT1 Strassenversion appears to be messed up because of poor tyres. Then '12 911 GT2 RS is really awesome car while '04 911 GT3 appears to be quite unpredictable at times. IIRC '95 GT2 was pretty fine and then '14 911 Turbo S was one of my worst Forza experiences ever.
For non 911 / 959 cars 968 Turbo S has some quirks, I didn’t checked if that might be because of tyres though. That said, IRL car didn’t had the best reputation. Weird thing regarding the game is that it’s like opposite of real things weaknesses. In FH4 it has serious issues with it’s rear grip, while the real thing had flipping over issue.
It’s all weirdly inconsistent and if you think of say Alpine which is rear engine RWD which is quite close to how it has been modeled in Gran Turismo series. I wouldn’t say it’s only because of Drift mechanics.
I have driven RE RWD cars but never a Porsche IRL and while you can get one for test drive from dealers, there’s no GT models available and even if there were, I don’t think it would be easy to get one of those for test drive, so players whom have experience from the real things should speak out.
