Don’t mean to sound heated here but not everyone who plays FH4 is all big into this stupid forzathon crap, some of this is overkill and impossible, and this exclusive car garbage is horse manure…wouldn’t it be more fair for everyone if at some point ALL cars can be bought at the auto show??? Sometimes we don’t get car on you big joke called season events and if you were to look on the auction…THEY AREN’T THERE,when will things be a little more fair and less JOKEATHON??? Hmmm??? I’m very irritated about this
Impossible? No. I’ve done all of them, or at least the ones I have interest in with no problems. Trials, team adventure, the entire playlist so far, easy.
You can be irritated sure, but over exaggeration doesn’t work when we’re playing the same game.
Sounds like maybe Horizon isn’t for you if you’re getting THAT irritated. Issa game bruh.
Coincidentally issa wants to autocorrect to Issaquah, shout out to Washington.
Easy for you to say “BRUH” it’s supposed to be fun and I have fun except for that garbage, it’s mean’t for EVERYONE…you got a problem with that GO STICK IT
I’m still amazed at the people that have to have everything now, without working for it. If every car was made available the very first day if release, Horizon would be so boring. And as far as telling someone to “STICK IT” because the voiced their opinion, and it contradicted you, get over yourself.
I actually think this is good as well. Forza Motorsport usually does this with a car pack for the cars that were exclusive with pre-orders and the retailers like Game Stop. About mid way through the life cycle of the game they release a car pack with those cars included…it usually has a price like 5 dollars but if I want the cars it’s there.
This also allows those who got them from the start to drive around for many months showing them off as they should.
I think a lot of the issues with the new system could be reduced by this as if you did not get to 100% and missed out on the cars at least you would know that you could still get them in a few months. I would much rather pay 5 bucks than 20 million in the auction house. This way I could still play as I wanted and not have to play online or the playground games that I do not like and still know I can get those cars. Those who do enjoy those games could get the car day 1 after getting the 100% and those who choose not to just have to wait a bit but can still get them.
*****Also if Playground Games decides to do something similar we should be informed as it would help reduce the issues we are now seeing with the new format.
I couldn’t agree with you more. As far as I’m concerned this entire game has become a joke. And to everyone saying oh it’s easy. Mabey to you it is , and right on for you, but every time I get into a co-op match I end up with teammates who intentionally slam you off the road and if they miss they get ahead of you and come at you head on. All co-op required to earn cars should be removed completely as far as I’m concerned!
Yeah, this time gated exclusivity is my biggest issue with the Forza franchise right now. I don’t mind weekly events, gives me something new to do each week if I’m feeling like playing, but honestly when they lock exclusive cars behind those events it just makes the weekly participation feel like a chore to get all the cars more than anything else.
FH3 is a prime example of the problems with the current system. All those awesome exclusive Forzathon cars will NEVER be available again, which says a lot about how little the devs care about the long-term viability of their games (they just want to push players onto the next game and sell more copies). If a player’s save gets corrupted and they have to start over (or they just want to start over for fun), tough, no exclusive cars for you, unless you can somehow convince support to gift them all to you.
If new vehicles were only exclusive for a limited time (say a week or even a month) with a guarantee that they would become permanently available in the autoshow or Forzathon shop, or earnable via a challenge after that time it would make things a lot better. Right now there are zero guarantees though, and I have pretty much zero trust in the devs at this point given that they seem intent on abusing this vehicle exclusivity as much as they can to coerce players into playing more even if they’re not having fun to make their stats look good.
This. Considering that FH3 has been recently released as a FH3/FH4 bundle, you can’t get all the content (or even 2 of the barn finds). Forza Support’s answer to this is to use the Auction House!!?? Good luck with that!
I started FH3 over, just for fun, and every Forzathon car I’d ever won was added to my garage once I’d unlocked the second festival site, along with all of the other rewards I’d earned previously. Ended up with around 100 wheelspins and around 5m credits…
That’s good news at least to hear that if you’ve unlocked it in the past it will be gifted to you if you start over. Still would be nice if they provided a permanent way to unlock the cars for players who missed those events.
Is unfortunate that opened so hostile. Inevitable lock or edit else a good conversation actually could have been started.
Starters, any current state with FH3 doesnt relate much to FH4 right now. Exclusive cars and barn find? Game is still being played and sold so perhaps they can just offer in autoshow for a crazy price and just put the barnfind on. Not going to get that corrected here.
As for stuff needing some online? What is wrong with the forzathon? So what if not your cup o joe? I love forzathon and is neat seeing what pops up in the store. Exclusives? Also good considering the open world online focus of play.
The game is supposed to be play your way so they need to offer some sort of reward for the online play. People who enjoy the online play have just as much entitlement to earning stuff as somebody only solo play. Wanting to win only goes so far. Goals and reward are important as well to an enjoyable gameplay experience. Exclusive items are a benefit to gameplay if enabled right.
The playlist 100% countered the open world play your way, but that is being corrected. As for exclusives tied to races? Matter of opinion. Could make it a one in a million wheelspin or after x period of time add them to spins. Plenty of options, but with a majority of players in online sessions, that will be the focus for rewards with all the various forms of play getting their shot at it.
Cannot please everybody, so got to do what is most fair while maintaining the desired play experience.
It seems like the best way to achieve the goal of providing options to earn things for both solo and online play is to provide multiple ways to earn these exclusives so players truly can play their way. You can earn the exclusive by playing 100% online or offline, or a mixture of both. Additionally, after a period of time exclusives should be guaranteed to be made widely available (once there’s a new, shiny exclusive for players who care about showing off to chase after) so players who don’t want to keep up with that treadmill aren’t left out completely.
What’s different about Forza from a lot of online/hybrid games is that each individual car can have a great deal of significance to an individual player since it represents a real vehicle, not some fictional item. When the devs arbitrarily make a car super rare (especially cars that aren’t rare IRL) to exploit the various psychological traps used to hook players into grinding more, it frustrates a lot of us.
I do like the concept of FE cars as exclusives though. They need some major rebalancing (far too many FE cars are completely different vehicles than the cars they’re supposedly based on like the Capri FE using offroad race tires and many of the bonuses are laughably bad), but as a concept that could work extremely well for providing desirable multiplayer exclusives without locking the singleplayer community out of certain vehicles. Especially if the bonuses for the multiplayer exclusives were only applicable in multiplayer. Could also be flipped around for singleplayer exclusives that only provide singleplayer bonuses. Such cars could be true exclusives since they would just be existing cars with a unique paintjob (possibly with some unique visual upgrades to make them stand out) and a nice FE bonus to reward the players who went through the effort to obtain them.
