Better to use Skills or XP car for Goliath?

Just wondering what would be the better option

Skills boost is better, especially when combined with The XP Bump perk (costs 10 skill points per use and lasts for 3 campaign races).

That race is so long… made it to 3/4 of one lap lol. Only 2 ppl so it was boring.

XP for sure, max you can get is 12.5k xp when you get 100,000 skill chain

If you did only one skill chain, sure! Bank it BEFORE you get to 100k, then do another skill chain and you can earn more XP. I did 10 lap races using both XP boost and Skill boost cars, and averaged about 1.3m XP with XP boost, compared to about 1.7m XP with skill boost, with the same perks used in both cases, so skill boost is better, but make sure to activate The XP Bump perk first for maximum effect.

Yea I only learnt that recently from a vid from Don Joewon lol, kept trying to get a 200k chain when i did 10 laps on Goliath which I probably wasted alot of xp time

Same over here!

I will do a test. I tune huracan HE in S2. I don’t do a bunch of drifting I go for fast time - but hold back in a couple of places I fail to keep it clean. (No wrecking in trees or needing to rewind) I do 9:45 laps usually in that tune.

I see about getting a jag to same class and practice at it to keep clean but the skill XP boost perk on both and see what the results are including lap times so you can see I’m not drifting.

I was sold on skills point cars pretty early on (XP cars as I remember just doubled the amount of XP for particular race)

Where I make a killing on some of the smaller circuits rolling meadows in skills with car being fast and using hand brake to make some turns, getting air. I can’t say how many multi thousand skill chains I had in race. My skill XP and perk XP are off the chart way more the XP for distance of the race.

On Goliath I just try to have no rewinds and go fast. So I’ll give it a go. And let you know.

The best car to use is your favourite one.

This already gets my "best post of the day"award and it’s only 8.30 AM.

Totally agree

I found them to be pretty close to even with slight edge going to skills if just going for fastest time and not drifting on purpose.

What XP car do people use and what tune?
I tried jag maxed out and the AR12 tune for Goliath was light on aero and cause me some issues under braking and in some of the bumps getting air and being light-- it was still a slower then huracan by quite a bit in accel and top speed even with lack of aero.

My total XP 3 laps was 393k to 399k with huracan edging it out and getting 15 more skill perks a total of 25 (which I use the double credits, XP boost on skill points, start and front, and the free upgrades all 10 points each often so this is good thing to me

Huracan with full aero for me not going for rival time but trying to stay clean 100% is 9:40-9:45 lap and I couldn’t break the 10min/ lap in jag. skill chains in lambo were a breeze.

242.5 Vs 245.4 (perks/skill/ horizon edition XP the only thing different leaving XP for race, clean skill and lineup out of sum to compare the items that were differing)

if you take the extra time to bank/ drift etc. there would be a bigger difference. Huracan is way faster (acceleration and top speed) and tune I used brakes /launch/ and handling were better so my preference is to use it.

Also when going to smaller races say 20min on rainforest/ rolling meadows etc. skill cars show more XP there and it’s to me easier to drift, air, wreckage skills and bank and not add to much to lap time after breaking free from drivatars so I often make a lot more XP then XP boost car in that scenario.
