Does anybody know if the HE cars that provide an across the board skills boost boost at the same level as a single skill boost car such as drift skills?
Totally different.
Skills boost is xp you get for chains.
Drift boost is the drift points not xp.
Pretty sure Skills Boost increases the points you get for every performed skill, not sure if they grant additional XP though.
Sorry I was thinking XP boost not skills boost cars.
I think it might vary slightly depending on the car, but the general gist I’ve found is that a specific skill-boost car (say a Drift Skills HE) will double any skill related to that field (ie Drift, E-Drift, Drift Tap etc, whereas an overall Skills Boost car will have something like 1.2x across the board. XP Boost cars boost the XP you get for completing races but I’m not sure if it does it for skill-chain XP as well (something I’ve never really paid much attention to)
Skills boost gives bonuses of around 30% to all skills performed. At least, that’s how it is in the Chevelle.
Specific skills bonuses give double points to that particular skill.
Are these cars good for anything besides what they give you a skills boost for?
I had a basically as-is Horizon Edition Corvette that I took into a race at…I think Pro level and it got its ass handed to it. I didn’t even mod it in any way.
Usually they come with race tires, it’s wise to remove the race tires and spend the PI points on something else. My Z06 HE has race weight reduction and some minor engine mods.
Someone else chime in if I’m wrong, but my experience suggests that one should take the PI of a standard HE car with about as much weight as the BMWs that are at or near the top of A, B, and C-class. They handle well and feature power upgrades over their standard counterparts, but the latter is to too mild a standard to stand against the fastest builds. A decent tuner can build up a standard car with a balance that PI point for PI point, will blow the doors off of a HE.
They are good, IF you tune them. The corvette is actually pretty good if you tune it for race. Try downloading my tune and I guarantee you will do a whole lot better.
Not for online. I don’t race too much Single Player. Maybe put a different tune on it.
