Best things to do after completing career?

How do you keep the game interesting after completing career? I really enjoyed the many different events on career mode and now i’m a bit lost. Online is OK but its a ram fest most of the time which spoils the fun. Not tried rivals yet so that might be good. Is it possible to build your own championships instead of single races on freeplay?

Aside from running countless tunes around the Ring I’m playing online for a bit. Although it’s a “meh” experience for the most time due to rammers and the same boring 2-3 overpowered cars in each division/class, sometimes there are a few good drivers to battle with. Even better if unusual cars are being used.

This game is all about finding ways to entertain yourself and have fun doing it.

Some days i will pick a division and tune cars in that division on the same track and see what i can get the fastest time with.

Other days i will push my rivals times and see if i can get any more time off. Bounty events are great fun albeit very humbling when you realise just how fast the top guys are.

Multiplayer is good most of the time. Don’t take it too seriously and just have fun with it. You are guaranteed to get rammed no matter where you start on the grid but its fun fighting your way back to the podium.

I did carrer to get it out the way as some cars are locked in the carrer mode and I didn’t want to be stuck online with out a car that I needed. I had thought by the time I finished carrer the game would have been finished and have a full set of leaderboards with ghosts. But unfortunately that didnt happen so I find myself struggling to find anything constructive to do on fm7. Usually I would advise you to watch some replys from the top 10 and grind the boards trying to mimic what you saw but you can’t.

Basically once you have done carrer there is very little meaningfully achivments to accomplish with in the game. Only advise I can give is find a good race orginiser like orl tora or delta and race in there various events. Unlike fm7 these events have been planned to the last detail and is far better than fm7 leagues or the poor excuse for rivals and we all know the hoppers are full of spotty kids in veyrons

I plan to do special races, cars with builds and tunes I enjoy, etc.

However, when they say “Xbox is better with friends”, they aren’t lying haha, there are cars such as IndyCar which are a blast with other people (not public lobbies), but with the AI they’re not that great.

Unfortunately the Free Play menu is a bit bugged so you don’t see custom designs nor are cars upgraded to the numbers you specify. The game will run stock cars against you, always. Unless you pick Division as opponents, then they upgrade, but still, no custom liveries. You can do this to mimic homologation into different divisions than the car is limited to, as you can place yourself in a bucket and the divisional cars in the other, but the drawback is that only you can race with your own set of rules, the AI must race in the division.

All the cars you can win in career, you can acquire from the AH.

They’re not even THAT expensive…

I create my own events and record all important information on a spread sheet.

Make your own little tournaments on a certain track and record your times.

For example I like to take a random track, and a set of 10 comparable cars. I’ll do a one lap race(~3 mins) on each car. Record their lap time. Then take the best 4 and do a little semi finals.

Basically a little tournament to see which car is best.

You can then repeat the tournament on another track to see if it changes the results.

I love doing drag tournaments. Get a dozen cars ready. Do a run. Switch to the next car, do the run again, etc. Until you’ve done all the cars, recorded their times, and have a winner.

I completed the Career ages back in October and now enjoy 60 Lappers around Daytona at night.
I, also, collect the Race Suits and have a once a week race in the Leagues to get the locked suits and cars.
The #Forzathon & Specialty Dealer should have been an enjoyable extension to the game as #Forzathon is in FH3 but we all know what that has deteriorated into. Yet I still do them.
In a nutshell, I am biding my time 'til Crew 2 & FH4 comes out sometime this year.

Find a nice organized league to run with.

I suggest looking for a middle-sized one (20-30 players) as they are often large enough to find someone on your level to race with/aim for, but not so large that they can’t be policed and get too messy.

Lots of options in Free play go through the Advanced menu system as you can then sellect up to 4 Differen catgories of cars as well as track settings whay type of track sets to use is all in advanced Free play settings.

I have also finished career and am having trouble keeping interested. Leagues are OK… but sometimes the people racing are real jackasses.

Finish any remaining achievements? That’s what works for me.

I would if they were realistically in reach, the start at the back and win in a 24 car multiplayer race is one, but the main one is 50k for a custom shared car design.

Create a new xbox live account with a different email. You can share Xbox live gold with any accounts on your Xbox. Using that new account, download and then like all shared designs you have.

I can’t remember how much likes pay out, may 1,000 credits?

Also do this on a cheap car that you can buy easily with a new account. Shouldn’t take too long to do.

The starting 24th deal will be a pain to boost but can be done. Sometimes there are looking for group posts about this in the game hub.

I’ve been collecting all the (unlocked) cars.

6 more to go.

After finishing career mode you can choose any of the races again if you like, especially the groups you likes best, and maybe go for longer race lenght. I was surprised which cars really were fun to drive, whereas others were terrible and I wouldn´t touch them again. Or go for a higher difficulty to improve your skills.

Bumping this thread for more ideas. Ive joined a couple racing leagues but you’re sort of tied to their schedule and cant just come home and play a good online race when you want.

I have been enjoying free play. I finished career a while back and am now only missing that start in last/finish first achievement.

I just finished a 30 lap multi-class at Lemans (2hr 15min).

I use free play to do many endurance runs as well as drive cars in shorter (5 - 10 laps) in cars I normally wouldn’t drive. I have found free play to be every bit as enjoyable as career mode was.

I only do online as necessary… achievements and leagues (1 race a week for that one).

Rivals…limited races in fm7… sometimes I even just pick a class and track and chase the leaderboard.

Bounty hunter events… Watch replay and set a ghost 1 second ahead of your current best.

Leagues…will find rammers even here. Just less. Learn to deal with them they tend to try and hit you on the first straight and turn and quit if not.

Forzathon… When up…

Online with friends… I hate open online hopper matches too.

Honestly, single player is easily the most boring part of the game.

Get your limits to the extreme by racing Nurburgring Lap 1000.
Or much easier, Daytona Lap 1000.
Join some competitions.

Sometimes when I get bored of building up the credit bank, I go through the auction house for the top dollar cars and see what they’re going for on average. Then, I set an amount and hawk it after every race to see if I can score a decent car at an unbelieveable price.

I lucked out the other day and got a GP Renault for 900k buy it now. Quick turn around if you’re looking to make a couple hundred K really quick.

I’ve also been working on making designs. Football season kept me busy creating team logos while the playoffs were going on. Made a little bit in DL’s and likes. Now I’m going to try to get better at more detailed artwork.

Did a few Star Wars themed a while ago…might start on a grim reaper I’ve been thinking about for a while. If not, I’ll do a few sillouhette city scapes of major cities.

If you want to set up some races, hit me up…that goes for anyone… I’m not much of a rammer, but will bump a bit on the last lap to pass.
