So I finally got around to racing online tonight for the first time since getting the game. It was pretty much what I expected. Some really good drivers mixed in, but a lot of morons that only want to crash into everyone. At one point, there were three guys who kept using Jeep Cherokees. They didn’t race at all. They would hang out by one of the turns and just wait for people to lap them so they could ram them at the turns. Very frustrating…
I’m sure all of the above has been said ad nauseum on this board. My question is do any of you specifically race with different cars online? Perhaps sacrifice speed for something a little more sure footed? If so, what cars do you use? I really liked being matched up against the good drivers, but the idiots were hard to handle. I’m not the best driver yet, but I did everything I could to avoid collisions. Even ran my fair share of clean laps and won some races too.
Oh, what’s the crown next to a lot of people’s name for? That mean they are/were a leader on a leaderboard?
Anyone want to invite a newbie, with the best of intentions, into one of your private rooms? I probably wouldn’t win much, but I’d hold my own…
This is an interesting question. When I race online the difference in the car varies for me. For example road Atlanta I use a Lotus exige because it’s light and nimble. I use a Ferrari 360 Challenge stardale for tracks like Indianapolis fast and high revving for quick acceleration. I mainly race A & S classes. I’ve also just made an underdog tune with the Ferrari 599 GTO for S class handles well speed is good all this in a heavy car.
I think the main answer to your question is its personal preference on the car you choose. If you get it handling well and putting in some good times then your almost there.
cars i like to drive online are mazda 787b lotus e21 and aston martin dbr9 all 3 seem good on all track try tg takumi or raceboy77 tunes for these both very good tunes on a hole range of cars
If you mean by the hoppers I would say nothing, the hopper suck and always will. If you mean going to the racers lounge and finding clean racers you can race anything. I personally prefer spec a or b rear wheel drive cars on circuit tracks. Feel free to join me a Friday night! Always have a clean room going. Sure would be nice if you could just search and join my game like in Forza 4!
I played in the same lobby with those jack-wagons in the Jeeps, that is actually what lead me to become a vigilante to help take care of these nuisance. I made these bad boys pictured below and I counter dirty racers lol. We were doing it all night last night and had a blast. At first people weren’t happy to see my Jeep in the lobby lineup but once they saw my graphics and knew what I was about they were cheering me and my friend on to take out the dirty drivers lol… I need to start a posse lol… It works though, we had several dirty drivers that just up and leave, they couldn’t take the “heat” and I made 10 new friends last night doing so lol…
