This theory of mine as detailed below has been dealt a fatal blow by the cruel hand of the fates.
I was first I’m the pink circle at 8pm GMT tonight. Ten more players arrived countdown happened. All others vanished to a separate task leaving only little me. Did the speed trap. Then when the so many millions of points drift zone arrived I failed last two tasks!
So it would appear it makes nowt of a difference what time you arrive at a Forzathon Live event. Which is a shame!
First post so hope I keep within the rules.
I have read a few times on the forum about being one of two maybe three players attempting a Forzathon Live trio of events. Have experienced it a few times myself.
Have read also posters suggesting that you need to be there early to be in the pack of 7 or so cars that run the gauntlet of events.
So tonight I tested this. I arrived at a Forzathon Live at 21.59 GMT and waited. There were approximately ten maybe eleven players there. When the event started there were 3 of us off to our 1st event a speed trap which we breezed. Then of course came the gravel drift zone with the millions of points needed.
In fairness to my two fellow combatants they drifted well, (I drift like a sheep wearing boxing gloves). But we failed round 2.
My advice for what it’s worth if there are lots of players in your session get there early! As then you will be in a pack of cars not trying to thwart huge targets as 2 maybe 3 of you!
Thanks for this, hadn’t realized that’s what was happening. I’ve experienced exactly what you’ve noted. Once I unlocked the ability to fast travel anywhere, I have had a habit of waiting to the last second to travel, choosing to focus on whatever task I’m trying to achieve at that moment. Definitely changing that, it’s so disappointing to go wholeheartedly into the event to win and fail because there’s only a couple of us.
Have been there first, have been there at last second or late. The only time I ever have been solo was a desync we suspect was from convoy buy could still see everybody else on the map. You will note that when it starts people disappear and then show up again but not sure what that is about. Outside of that once, I have always had the people that were there at the start. Not sure if I noticed people disappearing.
I have had numerous instances where the majority of people present vanish when the announcer yells “GO!” Doesnt matter when i turn up it seems that im on a lesser priority list or something lol because im more often then not in the smaller group.
Overall i’d be ok with it if the game had better scaling for active people in a given phase/session, i’ve had a drift zone throw up a requirement of 4 million points for 4 players once, entirely unreasonable and impossible, we did fail the round afterall
I usually keep an eye on the time the pink circle appears 10 minutes before the hour gives time to change cars etc before hand, based on first event.
just a shame are always the same set of events and what is suitable for the first usually is totally wrong for the second etc.
would be nice if were all dirt for for the 3 rounds all tar next time type of thing.
would also be good if those that just sit there the whole round were kicked .
I’ve been seeing it as its own challenge to build one vehicle that is very good for everything forzathon live can throw at you. The best I have so far is the TVR Speed 12 tuned to S2, AWD with rally suspension and off-road / snow tyres. It can do everything very well. Pretty much anything high power with AWD, rally suspension and off road / snow tyres can be tuned to work well, the Macan Turbo is another car I’ve found to work pretty well.
I’ve just built a Cayenne Turbo for Forzathon Live if anyone wants to try it, the tune is called Forzathon live. I’ve taken it round every type of PR stunt and was able to get 3 stars on every one I tried, indeed I actually did a PB for a drift zone with it. It can’t go fast enough to 3 star the motorway speed trap, so I didn’t even try it on that one, but I 3 starred every other speed trap/zone I tried it on, as well as jumps and drift zones.
One of my ultimate(ish) Forzathon car was actually an accidental find. The Ford Capri is somehow pretty good at most of the events. Obviously not the best at speed events, but it works well for drift zones and destroys offroad drift zones. It works fine with danger signs too. It’s just somehow a really good car, and I’ve only maxed it with an I6 (I think) and rally stuff. No tuning involved.
I think it is best to use an FE car for Forzathon Live, because the skills multiplier going to 6/7/8 does help in some of the events - the skills zone in the railway yards , for example. I often try to be at level 7 while waiting in the pink circle with the car I think is the best all-rounder, the 2013 BMW M6 FE. It gets me about 200 mph for speed traps, drifts quite well in drift zones etc etc.
I have 9 chargers usually use as close to a replica of my real car as i could get since in game only has prior model.
all tuned different but most set up for offroad lately have also been using 720 po for high speed stuff mainly to get design seen usually its one of these
On one occasion there was a good number of people waiting. When the event started there were two of us participating and the other driver gave up. One round completed.
I did a Solo run of the Broadway one and managed to complete two events as the Church Jump had a low target. I managed the Speed Trap with seconds to spare.
This morning the 10am one in the UK was badly subscribed… I was the only one there. One Round completed for my 20 (VIP) Points.
It would be nice if the target was somehow adjusted for the number of participants as it can be frustrating if there are not many there.
I got to forzathon live and do the first event and then leave and go off and still get points for all 3 if they are all completed. It is great for forza points and go finish other roads/races etc. I am sure forza doesnt like this but do I care? Nope
Yeah yet the game can tell me what i can sell my cars for in the auction house? Not my problem that they don’t have a fence set up around the forzathon events. Maybe they should give you more points and make it fun. Also the totals should be based on how many people join and I am not even employed by them! How do they not think of this stuff!! After the first one I won’t do again it gets too boring and no way to track who is putting up the most drift, speed or jump points.
not sure why you would come onto the forums and announce you do that. Stuff like this is probably why the scaling is so whacked out, why the game can expect 4 players to grind 4 MILLION drift points.
Anyone caught doing this should be unable to participate in any forza lives for a week, with the penalty increasing for every subsequent repeat instance
As it is i was playing the other night with a friend and we did a forza live and there was 1 guy who just sat there and refused to take part ever and yet he still got the full reward. Absolutely unacceptable. maybe players should also have forza points REMOVED as well as be blocked from joining live events. Might get them being a bit more cluey and a bit less selfish and lazy
I have problems with these the last few days. There are not many of them, some are not announced but I do spot the circle on the map. I check the time left and get there if possible. But when I arrive the circle disappears. One time it started and then the box crashed to dash. Usually I did 2 per evening, the last 4 days I had only 2 total.
