I feel like we are due for another balance update for the spec cars. In the touring category the Audi dominates. In a 24 car lobby anywhere from half to a third of the cars will be the Audi. GT3 seems much more balanced and there’s a much healthier distribution of cars. GT2 however has similar problems.
I don’t know why everyone chooses the Audi. I drive the #66 Astra and have no problem competing with the Audi at the same level, or even having a better lap time at the end of the race.
Maybe the Audi has a better basic setup, I don’t know, I haven’t even tried this car.
Occasionally there are strong players in other cars that have lap times significantly faster than the rest of the lobby in the audi.
I find it can depend heavily on the track. Have seen the Hyundai being really effective on some.
Please no. I hate having to make new tunes.
I give quite of bit of detailed feedback on class balance for GT2/GT3 in the following links. While I’m sure some top players may differ on minor analysis, most I’ve had discussion with on Forzaverse agree the Porsche in GT2 is OP all the way around, the Ford GT needs a serious boost, and that the NSX and 15 Lambo are overtuned. There are disagreements on the Ferrari being underpowered in GT2 (some just feel it feel bad to drive, but isn’t underpowered) and some feel the Audi and 18 Lambo are still too strong in GT3.
Go vote and maybe they will pay attention.
