There may be other cars with this problem, for one example, the jaguar xks has lots of really bad edges when you try to apply vinyls. Any one know of other cars with similar issues or if theres any chance of turn 10 patching it up?
Painted mine Lunar Grey, added 2 number plates. Solved. Sorry
Thanks for your complete failure to make a helpfull response. Good for you and your solid grey car.
Yeah there is actually quite a lot of cars with poor mapping and areas that you can’t place vinyls on. I remember seeing a thread in one of the painting forums quite a while back with a list but can’t find it now. That has been several months and they could have fixed it but I doubt it.
Thanks tyrant, both for the info and a helpfull response. My original thought was to check for a support forum but forza apparently doesnt have one. I’ll take a look in the design forums and see if I can find anything still there.
Now if I could find even the slightest logic in why the design forums are split into fantasy and race. Does nothing but make people look in 2 different threads for the same info. It should qualify as a double post.
Yeah, the Lamborghini LP 570-4 is the worst!
Your welcome. Also found the list! It might be shorter to make a list of cars not affected. I’d like to say this turned me off painting but it was more my kindergarten art ability that cut my painting career short. Good luck!
Thanks again, followed the link and it is a pretty long list. I’d trade nurbergring (misspelled I’m sure) to get them fixed.
When I encounter a car like this I normally paint it black and then apply a colored vinyl over every body panel. Then use more vinyls to add accents in black that mask the holes. I do it this way so the door seams hide in the shadows too instead of being outlined in a very bright color.
