Nope. The game is already delisted, so they are not going to sell it again, therefore licensing doesn’t apply here. Only if they resell the game would licenses have to be renewed, from my understanding anyway. This would just be a great benefit to owners of Forza 4 and MS can add it to the “X-enhanced” list, in case gamers ask why there hasn’t been an x-enhanced game in a long time.
If this turns out to be true, then everyone has to remember to move your save from the 360 to the cloud if you want your save to transfer over. I had to do this with Horizon. Other 360 BC games, I was able to copy the save over, but I guess some games you can’t.
It’s licensed for X360 so you can probably have it there only. You are right that selling will be even more problematic. But BC shouldn’t be possible without new agreement? I don’t know I don’t do games but I can imagine you can’t get license for X1 easily.
After reading a discussion in the Horizon 4 area it made me think of something IF this BC does come to pass. I can see that there will probably be some 1st time players to Forza 4 after the release to BC. Imagine the uproar that will take place when people are not given access to the 17 Unicorn cars that were in 4.
What a damn shame. I was really hoping it would become backwards compatible since there’s no FM8 this year, but that’s my fault for getting my hopes up. Guess this franchise had to let me down one last time…
Woah, hold up a minute. FM4 is already on the BC Program but it’s not “out” publically, since Microsoft is still giving out 2 BC games a month as part of Games with Gold. My guess is that FM4 will show up in that at some point, it’s gonna probably sound/look like the Halo 3 Games with Gold “event” and plus we still have this
Agree. But more to the point. Talk was about dedication to improving and enhancing FM7. Rather than giving us FM4 backwards give us the tracks missing for FM7. At least it will stretch the life of FM7 until the next great bug package is released.
It’s interesting that I see a lot of comments about licensing of cars being one of the detractors to BC for FM4, but as I look at all of the “returning” cars showing up in Horizon 4 I can’t help but wonder how many of the FM4 cars are no longer licensed…
I’m sure there are a few, but not as many as most believe…
After looking at the car list for FM4, most of the “non-returning” cars were special livery race cars specific to the time it was released and a handful of oddities (Ford Pinto and Chevy Corvair Monza). Even the 1996 Impala SS is on it’s way back in FH4.
I agree they should remaster forza motorsports 4 best forza game ever created I would gladly spend all my hard earned money on a new forza motorsports 4 remake with fujimi kaido benchmark soccer and other popular tracks please please please please please bring back fm4
