Forza 4 Backwards Compatibility

This has probably been posted thousands of times, however I just wanted to remind everyone that if you want to see FM4 on next gen’s backwards compatibility, then you should definitely vote for it. The way the voting system works is that the top voted/rated game will be available on next gen with the upcoming batch of titles. Please bear in mind that not all games that have been voted for will be backwards compatible, but the more votes it has then the higher chance it’ll have. Besides, who wouldn’t want a chance at playing FM4 on next gen?!

You can vote for FM4 here:

Not about voting for it. There is a license issue with racing and sports games which is why they rarely become backwards compatible. Highly unlikely.

Voting doesn’t guarantee BC - it is just a place for people to express their wishes and as leetorts posted there are other issues that will mean some games will never be BC.

It’s also unlikely to see Kinect-supporting games as Backwards Compatible.

if only they would bring back mountain racing this discussion wouldn’t exist.

There must be a way to make this game backward compatible or for Microsoft to see this, Their is no other Forza that I have played where you can fly down a mountain pass in a stock AE86 with such intensity just trying anything and everything to make a clean run just to shave off a second. This game is what made Forza because the game actually made people try for times they wanted just to boast to their friends that they were the best and the community was full of people trying to just tandem or have fun. The physics in this game have not been beaten by any other forza and I fear they never will. This game is not dead and it will never be dead. This game would blow up just like it did if it went backwards compatible. If only though…

the sad reality is that most players never played enough to worry about shaving a second off their lap time. Most players (80% of 8.3million that did a lap while connected to Xbox Live) never recorded a time on each of the 83 circuit tracks (don’t talk to me about the Test Tracks), 9 drag strips, 6 ovals or 16 P2P (point to point) let alone another 10 classes. Only 15% of players have done a lap in “A Reasonably Priced Car”. Only 5% have done a lap in the “Open Time Attack”.

So the thing we have left to measure agaist is the Leaderboards. Because at the moment (Feb2020) posting a time, even a slow unclassified laps will put you in the top 5000.

Open time attack. It’s just 10 laps (ok 11 if you have a Porsche 911, the RUF won’t do).

as for boasting I boast this. There is a leaderboard where me (#8634) outrank ONR Chronic (#72910) out of 485628 ! (it’s one where there are other cars on track hehe).

Fill those leaderboards! Don’t need backwards compatability. Look at the numbers. Xbox360 85million. Xbox1 47million. So that 38, no wait, 19 million more potential players.
